The development of China’s construction industry has so far exhibited a number of characteristics such as steady and progressive industrial scale,continued growth,corporate differentiation,increasing pace of transformation and upgrading that are showing the optimization of the market environment.However,the competition in China’s construction industry is becoming more and more intensive with the increasing optimization of the market.This article studied Company Z,a state-owned construction firm that covers a wide variety of construction projects such as housing construction,municipal engineering,prefabricated buildings,highways,bridges,and tunnels.However,it is a small-scale company that was established late compare with its competitors.Besides,there are many kinds of projects in the market that need Company Z to make efforts to acquire.These factors have made Company Z a lack of competitive advantages.With the implementation of the dual-track strategy of Company Z,the company has entered its transformation and upgrading era.As the company is gradually moving towards high-quality development,talents have become more and more important for the company.In order to attract more and more talents while retaining and motivating existing talents,Company Z needs to develop a reasonable compensation system.Many companies have recognized the importance of salary satisfaction,however,their concerns about additional costs and other reasons become the obstacles while they make efforts to increase the salary satisfaction.The background emerged as the times require,this article aims to study the pay satisfaction at Company Z based on the actual situation.After reading and researching a lot of relevant literature on salary and salary satisfaction,the author analyzed the concept,theoretical basis,influencing factors,and the measurement of salary satisfaction.According to the actual situation of Z Company,a scientific employee salary satisfaction survey based on pay level,welfare management,salary strategy,salary structure ane non-economic benefits is designed.All employees of Company Z were divided into different groups based on their levels and duties to participate in the survey.The results are collected and organized for systematic analysis.By applying descriptive analysis,factor analysis,and variance analysis to verify whether there is a significant relationship between salary satisfaction and various influencing factors.Based on the thesis and result,finding out the problems in the salary management of Company Z.Further,making reasonable suggestions on how tooptimize the compensation system of Company Z and improve the salary satisfaction of employees based on various influencing factors founded by the survey.
