Study On Wind-induced Vulnerability Of Low-rise Gable-roof Buildings Considering Interference Effects

According to the investigation of wind disasters,the main damage form of low buildings is the damage of enclosure structures.Industrial plants or residential houses usually exist in the form of group layout.The wind load distribution of such buildings is obviously different from that of an isolated building,and the wind-induced vulnerability will also be significantly influenced.It is of great significance to accurately predict and reduce the economic losses caused by wind disaster.In this paper,the influence of wind load correlation,building spacing,joint distribution between wind speed and wind direction on the wind-induced vulnerability of a group of gable-roof buildings is studied.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)The influence of wind loading correlation on the mean value of loss rate,standard deviation and the exceeding probability of different failure levels of isolated building and a group of buildings is studied.The result shows that considering the load correlation will increase the variability of the roof damage rate.When the wind speed is high,the exceeding probability of different failure levels will be overestimated if the loading correlation is neglected.If the correlation of wind load is not included,the roof failure probability and economic loss will be overestimated.(2)For differenct wind directions,the influence of building spacing on the vulnerability of a group of buildings is studied,including the failure probability of building roof zones,the total vulnerability of and isolated building and the total vulnerability of building group.When the wind direction is 0 degree(the buildings are in tandem arrangement),the wind speed at the failure probability of 50% at corner area of the central building and downstream building reaches 2.2 times and 2.8 times that of the isolated building.For the whole vulnerability of each building in the group,the central building and the downstream building are safer than the isolated building when the wind direction is 0 ? 45 degrees.The wind speed at 50% exceeding probability of the medium damage level for the central building and downstream building reaches about 1.8 times and 1.66 times that of the isolated building.As the wind angle continues to increase,the buildings in the group begin to be more dangerous than the isolated building.The wind speed at 50% exceeding probability of the medium damage level reduced to 0.9 times that of isolated building.For the whole vulnerability of the group of buildings,the building group is safer than the isolated building when the wind direction is 0 ? 45 degrees.The wind speed at 50% exceeding probability of the medium damage level for the group of buildings reaches 1.14 times that of the isolated building.As the wind angle continues to increase,the group of buildings begin to be more dangerous than the isolated building.The wind speed at 50% exceeding probability of the medium damage level reduced to 0.9 times that of isolated building.(3)According to the data of the wind speed and direction data in Fuzhou City,the joint probability distribution betweeen wind speed and direction is established.By analyzing the vulnerability of low buildings after considering the joint probability distribution betweeen wind speed and direction,the following conclusions are obtained.When the building orientation is 45 degrees south by the west,the interference effectd on the vulnerability of each roof zone is more significant.For the roof zones near the inner corner of the gourp of buildings,the failure probability of the edge building and center building reaches 0.4 times and 0.5 times that of the isolated building;For the vulnerability of each building in the group of buildings.For the whole vulnerability of each building in the group,the buildings in the group are safer than the isolated building when the spacing ratio is less than 4.The exceeding probability of the medium damage level for the edge building and central building reaches 0.13 times and 0.06 times that of the isolated building.For the total vulnerability of a group of buildings,a group of buildings are safer than an isolated building.The exceeding probability of the medium damage level for the group of buildings is less than one fifth of the isolated building.
