Due to the exposed slopes formed by a large number of slope excavation projects,there are problems such as weak soil structure,lack of plant coverage,and susceptibility to rain erosion during the construction of the highway.Such problems are particularly prominent in the red clay slopes of highways in rainy areas in South China.Therefore,the necessary environmental protection measures are essential for the safety and stability of slopes,soil and water conservation,and plant community reconstruction.Since the red clay slope in the rainy area of South China has the difficulties of serious soil erosion,poor erosion resistance,and plant seeds that are easily washed away,the application of traditional ecological restoration technology has the problems of poor slope erosion resistance,slow plant growth rate,high engineering cost,and great difficulty in the degradation of restoration materials.Therefore,ecological restoration technologies and supporting processes based on new functional materials need to be developed,taking into account the climatic characteristics of the rainy areas of southern China and the soil characteristics of the red clay slopes of highways,which has important theoretical value and practical significance for solving the problem of ecological restoration of red clay slopes in rainy areas in South China and effectively improving the ecological restoration effect.In this study,three new functional materials were adopted,namely W-OH,artificial loam agent,and anti-erosion soil fixing agent.Aiming at the characteristics of soil and rock-soil mixed slopes,the laboratory experiment of the base material ratio of the slope ecological restoration technology and the field experiment of restoration effect was carried out based on three new functional materials.Next,the W-OH-based gel curing repair technology for soil slopes and the artificial erosion-resistant organic matrix layer repair technology for soil-rock mixed slopes were formed.Finally,a comprehensive evaluation model was established,which comprehensively evaluated the restoration effectsof two new slope ecological restoration technologies and traditional ecological restoration technologies.The main research contents and research results are as follows:(1)The ecological principles of slope ecological restoration and the mechanism of plant slope protection were analyzed.Subsequently,the disease characteristics of the red clay slope in the rainy area of South China were considered,as well as the two main characteristics of the red clay slope,such as poor erosion resistance and low nutrient content on the slope.Three new functional materials were introduced instead of traditional materials,namely W-OH,artificial loam,and anti-erosion soil fixing agent.Therefore,the research on the ecological restoration technology of red clay slope was carried out.(2)Based on the orthogonal test method,the experiment of the matrix ratio scheme based on two new technologies was designed,and the experimental studies of plant sprouting amount,plant biomass,soil nutrients,and anti-scouring performance were carried out respectively.The range analysis method was adopted to determine the optimal matrix ratio scheme of the two new ecological restoration technologies.The W-OH-based gel curing repair technology for soil slopes and the artificial erosion-resistant organic matrix layer repair technology for soil-rock mixed slopes were proposed,and a matching process method was formed.(3)Aiming at Huiqing Highway in Guangdong Province,field application research on new ecological restoration technology was carried out.Combining conventional traditional spraying grass planting technology and CF net spraying grass planting technology,sampling,and comparative experiments were conducted on slope plants and soil in different periods of plant growth.From the two aspects of plant growth benefits and soil improvement benefits,the difference between the restoration effects of new ecological restoration technology and traditional technology was carried out.Relying on the measured data of plants and soil,a comprehensive evaluation model of ecological restoration effects was established based on the criteria of plant growth benefit,soil improvement benefit,economy,and feasibility.Themethods of the analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy evaluation were used comprehensively to carry out a comprehensive evaluation of the restoration effects of different ecological restoration technologies.
