The invention of the internal combustion engine led to the development of automobiles and brought great convenience to people's travel and transportation.Nowadays,automobiles has become an indispensable means of transportation for people's lives.With the gradual growth of fuel vehicles,problems such as shortage of fuel resources and environmental pollution to be faced,so the new energy vehicles is emerged which is the trend of future development.In the bus industry,new energy buses have been fully launched in the first and second tier cities under the impetus of the government.However,some bus markets cannot be replaced by new energy buses in a short time,such as travel buses,intercity buses,airport buses,western buses,remote backward cities,as well as exports to underdeveloped or developing countries,these areas are using fuel buses.With the improvement of people's living standards,the requirements for the internal environment of fuel buses are becoming higher and higher and the corresponding on-board electrical appliances are increasing.And with the development of automobiles,there are more and more auto electric parts,such as electric heating,electronic fans,eddy current retarders,electronic boosters,etc.The improvement of the alternator power of the existing fuel buses has not kept pace with the development.Therefore,the power increasing of bus alternator or multiple alternators work in parallel is an important direction for the development of bus alternator.The purpose of this paper is to optimize the design of 4 k W passenger car alternator,improve the low-speed output performance,improve the reliability of the generator,and extend the service life;the output power of the generator is increased from 4kw to 5k W,so that two or more generators can work in parallel in the same circuit to meet the power demand of 10 k W for passenger cars.taking a passenger car alternator of a generator enterprise as the research object,this paper uses the method of theoretical calculation and actual test comparison to explore and verify the influence point of generator power,so as to provide reference for generator power improvement.Firstly,based on the comprehensive material and analysis and understanding of the structure,working principle and functions of the alternator for fuel bus,the existing problems are studied and analyzed,and the main points of influence are selected as the research objects.Secondly,according to the generator design calculation,design test plan,design alternator,test alternator,optimize the improvement measures based on alternator performance and functions,and mainly improve the alternator power and functions.Finally,the bus alternator was tested and comparative analyzed.After tests,it was verified that the alternator using a built-in fan,an external rectifier bridge,a hybrid excitation,and a multi-function regulator can meet the electricity demand of fuel bus.It is important that the successful development of this subject has certain reference value for market application.
