Red-lights-running(RLR)is one of the major causes of traffic accidents at signalized intersections,and the consequences of RLR are often serious.After the yellow light triggering,improper driving behavior is the important cause leading to RLR,and driving behavior and electroencephalogram(EEG)interact with each other.To research the associated characteristics of driving behavior and EEG,can help to explore the deep influence mechanism of driving behavior,improve the cognition of driving behavior,and provide a new behavioral research direction of RLR.The development of intelligent warning technology provides a new method for the prevention of RLR.A reasonable and effective RLR warning scheme was designed,and the effect of warning is evaluated based on driving behavior.Establish the correlation mechanism of warning and EEG,and explore the influence mechanism of RLR warning from a deep level,so as to provide theoretical support and new design ideas for the research of RLR warning technology at intersections.First of all,this paper analyzes the occurrence process of RLR,and determines the research focus,that is,before the red light is on,the vehicle does not enter the intersection,after the red light is on,the vehicle enters the intersection.Secondly,the experimental design and two-stage warning technology are proposed,and the scene design is based on the driving simulator.Recruit personnel to complete the experiment,and collect driver behavior and EEG data through driving simulator and EEG equipment.Finally,the correlation mechanism between driving behavior and EEG is established.The linear mixed effect model,binary logistic regression,paired t-test,correlation analysis and BP neural network are used to analyze driving behavior,EEG characteristics and the interaction between them.The stop-go decisions are predicted based on EEG,and the function of warning is explored from the perspective of driving behavior and EEG respectively.It provides research ideas for the deep influence mechanism of driving behavior and warning function,and provides theoretical support for reducing RLR and improving intersection safety.The research on driving behavior shows that yellow trigger time and speed at onset of yellow have significant influence on the stop-go decisions and RLR rate.Yellow trigger time and second order interaction between gender and age also have significant influence on speed at onset of yellow and yellow brake response time.The research on the effect of two-stage RLR warning shows that warning significantly reduces the proportion of drivers who choose to cross the intersection and the RLR rate,as well as speed at onset of yellow,yellow brake response time and the maximum deceleration.The research on the correlation between driving behavior and EEG shows that driving is related to all brain regions.The event of signal light turning yellow reduces the relative power of δ wave and increases the relative power of θ wave,α wave and β wave,indicating that the driver’s mental concentration,attention and alertness are improved.There is a significant correlation between EEG and speed at onset of yellow,yellow brake response time,and there is a difference between drivers of different genders and ages.BP neural network is used to predict the drivers’ stop-go decisions based on EEG data and good results are obtained.The research on the effect of two-stage RLR warning on EEG shows that the first stage early warning improves the drivers’ attention and acceptance of the second stage early warning.The second stage warning improves the drivers’ ability to collect and process the auditory and visual traffic information,as well as drivers’ attention and vigilance.It effectively reduces the possibility that drivers choose to pass through the intersections,helps to prevent RLR,and ensures the safety of the intersection.There are differences in the effects of two-stage RLR warning on the EEG of drivers of different genders and ages.
