Communication is often accompanied by a large number of ideas, while cognitive conflicts are easy to occur. In general cognition, cognitive conflict can cause negative emotions and make communication impossible to continue. Many research and experience have shown that the impact of cognitive conflict on design communication is not only negative.A certain degree of cognitive conflict or reasonable response to cognitive conflict can improve the task performance of the design team.Cognitive conflicts are not a new concept in the field of management, and senior management teams have already grasped the skills and benefits of using cognitive conflicts, such as cognitive conflicts that can enhance the activity of discussion, expand the scope of communication, and stimulate the emergence of new ideas. In the process of learning interaction design and project design, designers experience frequent cooperation and communication with different roles. In the process of communication, information transmission and lack of information often appear, which leads to the emergence of cognitive conflicts, and the application of cognition theory to design research can improve communication efficiency and team performance. The purpose of this paper is to explore the application value of different types of team behavior style by studying the design team when facing to cognitive conflict, and to promote the design team to produce better design decisions. The research process of this paper includes four parts, including theoretical research, experimental research, theoretical construction and design practice.First of all, this paper combs the research about design cognition, cognitive conflict, cognitive model of different roles and team behavior style, and proposes to study the impact of team behavior style on team performance facing to cognitive conflict. The research contents are carried out from three levels:design cognition, design practice process and product design.Based on the theoretical research, the experimental research is carried out in this paper, and the qualitative data are collected.Based on the existing design cognitive theory, the research framework of the impact of team behavior style on the design practice process and design performance is constructed. The cognitive conflict theory is introduced into the research of interactive design from the field of management. Then,in order to apply the research results to design practice, based on the characteristics of different team behavior styles and the applicable design stage, and the impact of team behavior style on the design practice, the design communication strategy at different stages of team design is proposed. Finally, the researchers applied the results of the theoretical research to the application of the "M-P-A" system design project, and finally implemented the functions and tools of the "M-P-A" system, and verified the feasibility and guiding significance of the research results. The "M-P-A" system,as a design auxiliary tool, leads the design team to form a suitable team behavior style within different design stages,to reasonably respond to the cognitive conflict promotion team through the innovation of functions and tools improving the team design performance. The significance of this paper is to propose a design communication strategy in coping with cognitive conflict in different design stages through theoretical and experimental research. It provides a way for the design team to deal with the cognitive conflict, and puts forward a practical and guiding methodology for the interactive design team. This research can provide theoretical and method reference for the application of cognition theory in design, and provide support for improving the communication efficiency and team performance of the design team.It can provide the research foundation for the research of design of more complex roles.
