Modern rammed earth architecture has good ecological value,artistic value and humanistic value.In recent years,the practice of modern rammed earth construction in China has gradually moved from rural areas to cities,and its building type has also been transformed from small-scale residential buildings into public buildings.The change of role brings great opportunities and challenges to the innovative research of rammed earth buildings in material,structure and construction.However,at present,most domestic researches on modern rammed earth are point studies,which lack sufficient linkage and systematicness,and are difficult to play a full guiding role in the design promotion.In this context,it is particularly critical to establish a set of relatively systematic key technical data integration of modern rammed earth building construction.Therefore,from the perspective of key technology of construction,combined with the investigation and practice and the relevant practice results of nearly 30 years at home and abroad,through the case slice analysis,this paper conducted a comprehensive exploration of material properties,construction technology,construction technology,construction difficulties and other aspects.The research methods and contents of this paper include the following three levels:(1)With the method of combining theoretical research and practical operation,we make an in-depth analysis of the traditional construction process.From the perspective of material optimization and construction process optimization,we have pointed out the improvement measures of modern rammed earth construction technology.On the one hand,it depends on the construction,and on the other hand,it serves as the basis of the construction design and practice.(2)Through the case slice analysis,we compare the construction of the same part of different types of buildings,and summarize its internal operation mechanism and coping strategies.On this basis,different construction techniques are derived.(3)By using the method of joint exploration of design and construction,we stand on a higher dimension,and take the structural design as the entry point to study modern rammed earth architecture,and into the whole process of design thinking.We use the longitudinal timeline to connect them in series,analyze them from different aspects such as applicable conditions,and design and construction difficulties and design feedback,and explore the role of structural technology in the whole process of architectural practice.In this paper,a large number of modern rammed earth construction cases have been selected from around the world,and the key construction techniques are explained and interpreted.It is hoped that on this basis,on the one hand,it can make subsequent relevant studies more targeted and systematic,and on the other hand,it can provide theoretical basis for architects to explore and understand modern rammed earth architectural construction design,so as to form a more appropriate modern rammed earth architectural design scheme.
