Research On The Elderly-adaptive Renewal Of Living External Environment In Laoshan Street Based On Behavior Characteristics

The aging population of the city is increasing year by year,and as the living standards continue to rise,the elderly in the new era have increasingly strong expectations for beautiful living spaces;in order to cope with the above situation,the current urban construction work has begun to move towards a humanized and refined direction,gradually pursue to improve the quality of urban living environment and create a livable atmosphere for the elderly.The unit community is a living space that remains in a specific economic period of China.Due to the good architectural function and the profound historical value of the community,it is facing a stock transformation.The transformation process shows serious problems such as the aging of the residential structure and the degradation of living external environment.Therefore,the transition period the community of the old unit system urgently needs to adapt to aging to meet the increasing needs of elderly residents,optimize the living external environment,and continue the cultural connotation of the community.Under this background,choose the unit community living external environment as the research subject,combined with the characteristics of outdoor behaviors of elderly people of different ages and the specific conditions of needs,dig out the specific needs of the elderly for the living external environment,build the correlation between the elderly-behavior-living external environment,based on which we get strategies that adapt to the aging of the living external environment of the elderly at all ages.This article first investigates the external environment of Laoshan streets and the behavioral characteristics of the elderly.Select a traditional unit system community in Laoshan Street,Shijingshan District,with a planning age of around 1980,a large number of elderly people,and obvious environmental problems outside the residence,as a case community to conduct a detailed investigation.The specific investigation is divided into three parts: The situation,construction background,resident structure,community culture,and current characteristics of the living external environment are sorted out,and the overall dilemma faced by the current living external environment of this type of community in Laoshan Street is summarized based on this;the second part is from the behavior type,time characteristics,and spatial characteristics.The characteristics of outdoor activities of the elderly in the community are investigated in terms of the characteristics of the path;the third part surveys the satisfaction evaluation and needs of the elderly in the community with regard to the living external environment in the form of questionnaires.The survey summarized that: Outer environment of Laoshan street unit system community has outstanding problems such as uneven site distribution,single space function,insufficient site design and lack of cultural atmosphere;the outdoor behavior characteristics of the elderly are summarized as: travel circle layered aggregation,The diversified types of activities and the improvement of environmental quality requirements are as follows: the behaviors and space preferences of elderly people of different ages are different,but they have commonality in the requirements of space quality and cultural atmosphere.Secondly,based on the conclusions of the investigation,a close correlation between the elderly-behavior-living external environment is constructed.Based on this,the contradiction between the current situation of the outside environment and the needs of the elderly is clearly defined,and the key points of the suitable aging transformation of the living external environment are obtained.According to the conclusions of the survey,we can know the needs of the elderly’s behavioral characteristics for the environment outside the residence,that is,the needs of spatial location,space function,site design,and community cultural heritage.Afterwards,with the aim of resolving the above contradictions,starting from the spatial layout,function optimization,detailed design and community cultural inheritance of the living external environment,we proposed the suitable for the elderly of different ages for the physical space and spiritual culture of the external environment The overall design method of the external environment suitable for aging in the unit system community of Laoshan Street.Finally,an empirical study on the design of suitable aging transformation is carried out with the selected community as a case study,and specific reform methods are proposed from the two aspects of material space and spiritual culture for the outstanding problems of the environment outside the residential environment selected in the survey.In summary,this article aims to build a derivation method for an ageing transformation strategy by clarifying the correlation between the elderly-behavior-living external environment based on the investigation and analysis of the environment and behavioral characteristics of the elderly,and proposes to optimize the material space continuation of spiritual culture as the goal of transformation,and from the specific aspects of circle layout,function integration,quality improvement,and inheritance of culture,put forward aging optimization suggestions for the elderly of different age characteristics,so that the transformation strategy integrates the physical space and cultural connotation of the living external environment,aiming at both the current status of cultural decline in the unit community and the comprehensive attention to the physical and psychological needs of the elderly,so as to improve the adaptability of the elements of the living external environment the unit community,continue the community culture,and enhance the elderly’s well-being.
