| The village is a phenomenon, process and form in which some certain agricultural-related people engage in concentrated living and activities in a specific geographical area.Along with the growth and evolution of its form, the development process of rural settlement is essentially the process of the aggregation of monomer buildings and the integration of other elements, which finally presents as its boundary and spatial structure.Based on the influence of architecture on the growth and definition of village boundaries Based on the important influence of architecture on the growth and definition of rural settlements’ boundaries, this paper mainly starts with the planar contour of village buildings, and explores the classification principle, database construction, type recognition and morphological characteristics of two-dimensional boundaries of rural settlements from the perspective of graphics.First of all, this paper defines the boundary, which is only affected by monomer building aggregation,as "construction boundary" and takes it as the research object.Based on the principle of external space and combined with mathematical methods, the author uses clustering principle to screen village samples, delorean triangulation network principle to visualize the spatial relationship of buildings in the settlement, minimum spanning tree algorithm principle to select operational objects in the building complex, and convex hull principle to extract the construction boundary graph of the rural settlement.Due to the complexity and large amount of calculation process, this paper uses Python programming to integrate all kinds of principles, and takes a sample of general building plane of 150 villages in Yixing as the input data,so as to obtain its two-dimensional boundary graph and its attribute index.Based on this, this paper integrates boundary vector data and morphological attribute index data, selecting MapGIS platform and taking map and metadata as presentation form, then complete the framework construction of rural settlement morphological database and preliminary data input,at the same time its scientificity and extensibility to be ensured.Secondly, based on the qualitative analysis of the traditional classification for forms of rural settlement and combined with the sample data of 150 villages, this paper aims to use attribute indexes to complete the quantification attempt of morphological type recognition for different rural settlements.According to the overall layout of villages, the number of subcategories of villages under clustering algorithm is used to complete the type identification of centralized and group-type villages. For the degree of convergence and dispersion of building layout and the internal spatial structure of the village, three indexes, namely, vacancy rate of boundary graph, building density and average distance between buildings, are used to complete the type identification of agglomerated and scattered villages.According to the boundary shape characteristics, three indexes of boundary graph length to width ratio, graph density and shape index were used to complete the type identification of linear, blocky and finger-shaped villages. Finally, this paper discusses the external driving factors that influence the formation of village boundaries, including natural elements, location elements and social and economic elements. In this paper, four specific driving factors such as mountain, water body, field and road are finally selected to be included in the research scope, and the correlation law between driving factors and morphology of rural settlement is discussed based on the concept of influence degree of driving factors on the three levels of group-type villages, different graphic characteristics of village boundaries and boundary twists and turns.Above all, this research aims to explore a new method for the definition and extraction of village boundary morphology by combining architectural principles with mathematical methods and computer programming language, and extract morphological attribute indexes to establish a database of village morphology. This provides a more scientific and specific quantitative basis for the classification of village forms, the influence of driving factors, the description of internal mechanism and the renewal planning of villages,at the local level to realize the village form research from quantitative to qualitative transformation and upgrading. |
