Study On Urban Morphology Feature And Evolution Of Huangpu Village In Guangzhou From The Perspective Of Conzenian School

Urban morphology which is originated in the west and developing for several centuries,constructed a system of theory, and strengthened the relationship between the research of urban morphology and urban conservation. A lot of developed theories are intruducted into China with the development of the research in urban morphology in China.The research scholars of Conzenian school have finished series of case studies in Guangzhou,Beijing,Pingyao and Shanghai.As the development of the urbanization,the traditional districts and historical countries become the research focus in China.Based on the background of the theory and the history mentioned above,this thesis apply the method of urban morphological regionalization to Huangpu village so that the characters and evolution of morphology in Huangpu village could be told,and the advice of conservation in traditional village could be given. At last, we will figure out the local method in theory and practical application through the analysis above.The thesis is composed of six chapters.Chapter 1 is introduction.In the beginning of the thesis,This thesis elaborates the background of my research.It chooses Huangpu village as the study subject,and elaborates the purpose and the meaning of research.Then,it summarizes the origin,the evolution and the theory groups of the urban morphology in the world.It also summarizes the researches about Huangpu village.At the end,the thesis establishes the methods and the frame of research.Chapter 2 summarizes the history and general situation about the Huangpu village.Then,it collects the statistics about the historic relics in Huangpu village.At last,it establishes the research area.Chapter 3 to 4 makes a concrete analysis from the point of view of plan units,building types,land and building utilization which are the three factors of urban morphological region in Huangpu village. On the basis of different levels of morphological analysis,the thesis summarizes the features and the reasons of the different morphological factors, and summarizes the distribution of the different factors in master plan.Chapter 5 overlays the plans of chapter 3 and 4 in order to induce the urban morphological regions. Then,the thesis analyses the evolution of the morphological regions and induces three periods of this area.Chapter 6 concludes the reasons of formation of the morphological regions.Then,the thesis gives some advice which assure the area and the strategy of overall conservation including streets,plots,buildings and utilization in the Huangpu village.At last,the thesis summarizes the innovation and the deficiency in this research.
