Projection display technology is a display technology that amplifies information,whose essence is to enlarged the image information stored on the micro chip by a certain ratio and then project it onto a screen at a specified distance.And the most important part of the projection system is the projection lens.Benefiting from the growing maturity of zoom system and the increasingly sophisticated processing of cam curves,the development of projection zoom lenses is advancing by leaps and bounds.It is constantly developing towards high brightness,high resolution,miniaturization,etc.The projection display is not only efficient,low energy consumption,but also low-radiation,it has less damage to people's health and can protect our eyes.Owing to these advantages,the projectors are widely used in business,home theater,school education and other fields.This thesis mainly introduces the optical lens design of a 1.4x zoom projector.Firstly,the development history of projection technology and the existing research situation at home and abroad are introduced.Secondly,the basic theory of zoom lens is analyzed in detail,focusing on the motion equation of mechanical compensation zoom lens.Based on extensive literature review,data and market research,the lens technical indicators were determined,and then complete the zoom projection lens design through ZEMAX optical design software.The zoom length is 17.33 mm-24.26 mm.,and the system only uses 10 lenses,including 2 aspheric lenses,its overall structure is compact.The design results show that: at the spatial frequency of 67mm/lp,the MTF of all focal segments is greater than 0.4,the field curves are controlled within 0.1 mm,the distortion is less than 3%,and the image plane is stable,which meet the design requirements of the use of the design goals.Then,a reasonable set of tolerance values is given by the process and tolerance analysis of the finished zoom system.Finally,using MATLAB math software to fit,two smooth cam curves are obtained,and the processing technology is great.
