Organizational culture is classified as mutual thought,value,rules of conduct in enterprises' long-term production and operation.It has vigorous incentive,cohering function in construction industry where posts powerful effect that fund,substance,technology can't make.However,safety accident results in various negative impact of organizational culture which badly affect benefit of construction enterprises.Therefore,this paper aims to investigate the mechanism of safety accident on organizational culture in order to comprehensively,accurately reflect the losses condition after safety accident in construction enterprise.Based on the research results and the status quo of safety management of construction site in China,the connotations of the organizational culture,in addition to the five dimensional factors of implements environment,institutional environment,relevant party environment,safety values,and behavioral patterns,were defined.According to the relevant theoretical analysis and literature review,the hypothesis is put forward on the relationship between safety accidents and organizational culture,and the path model of the assumption influence is established.We compile questionnaire in terms of latent variables we selected and then distribute and collect the questionnaire,collate and summarize the questionnaire data.Applying the structural equation model theory,the collected sample data is substituted into the model,and finally the impact mode and impact intensity of safety accident towards organizational culture are obtained.The results of the model show that: organizational culture losses caused by safety accident can be divided into two types.One is the loss caused by the direct impact of safety accident: the losses belong to implements environment,institutional environment,relevant party environment,with greater losses belong to implements environment and institutional environment than that of relevant party environment;the other one is caused by the indirect impact of the safety accident.While the degree of indirect effect is equivalent to the direct impact of safety accident on implements environment and relevant party environment.Therefore,losses of safety value and behavior method cannot be ignored: First of all,the impact of safety accident on safety values and behavioral patterns is multi-path.Once again,safety values and behavioral patterns are affected by safety accident,which may result in adverse climate or atmosphere make an indirect impact on corporate benefits,and such effect is long-term.To reduce the impact of safety accidents on organizational culture,the construction enterprise can improve the environment of the construction site,strengthen the construction of safety system,and improve the reputation of the enterprise,etc.
