Many new technologies are applied on the vehicles with the continuous improvement of fuel economy requirement and increasingly stringent emission regulations, such as Direct injection,SCR,Start-stop and so on.However, these new technologies lead to the change of working condition of the engine parts, which means that the reliability of the engine parts can't be guaranteed under the application of the existing testing methods. There for,new testing methods must be proposed to test the reliability of engine parts under new technologies. In this paper, five testing methods are proposed to test the reliability of turbocharger under the application of Start-stop technologies, which are named method 1,method 2,method 3,method 4 and method 5.Method 1 contain one combustion and is based on selfcirculation method.Method 2 contain two combustions and is also based on self-circulation method.Method 3 contain two combustions and is based on air supply method.Method 4 contain one combustion and is based on air supply method.Method 5 contains one combustion and one air jar, which is based on self-circulation method. The testing method based on air supply method can work definitely because of its widely using. In order to verify the feasibility of method 1,method 2 and method 5,dynamic models have been built in Matlab/Simulink to watch the variance of several key parameters.Besides, the local pipeline flow of method 1 and method 2 have been simulated on CFX based on the simulation results of the Simulink.Considering the practical factors, only one method can be set up.Based on that method, the corresponding testing bench has been set up and the experiment has been completed.
