As the “eyes” of the ballistic missile defense system,Space-Based Early Warning Systems(SBEWS)is one of the main roles of missile target monitoring, detection, and tracking. It is also crucial to the missile interception process. The current new generation of Space-Based Early Warning Systems has realized the cooperation between high earth orbit satellites and low earth orbit satellites, which greatly increases early warning coverage and improves tracking capability. For the above reasons, this paper takes Space-Based Early Warning Systems as the research subject. The study focuses on modeling and simulation of the composition and function of systems in SBEWS.Firstly, the research analyzes the sub-systems and functions of the new generation SpaceBased Warning Systems.According to the systems’ basic working method and target detection tasks execution process, the systems’ hierarchical architecture is designed using Agent Based Modeling and Simulation(ABMS)method. To deal with the complexity, dynamics, and interactivity of the current SBEWS systems,an agent behavior model is constructed adapting to the function of the systems.Secondly, the main functions of early warning satellites are studied. The early warning satellites parametric configurable functional models have been constructed to adapt to the needs of different simulation environments based on ABMS.The constructed satellite model has functions including orbit emanation and operation, sensor detection, damage status assessment, operation management and information interaction. The satellite model has independently performance simulating ability, and it can also be used for SBEWS simulation and analyses.Thirdly,SBEWS tasks process and scheduling method are studied which considered the function of early warning task management and control system as the main object.Ballistic trajectory reconstruction algorithm based on satellites stereoscopic observation information and ballistic trajectory prediction algorithm are developed.A target dynamic threat assessment method is proposed. In order to achieve the main function of target observation resource scheduling, early warning tasks scheduling algorithm is developed based on agent negotiation mechanism. An early warning task management control system model is established which includes the functions of detection results processing, observation tasks developing and task scheduling. Finally,an SBEWS simulating system is established based on constructed models, and relevant simulation experiments are carried out.Models in SBEWS are verified which are early warning satellites system, and task management and control system.Systems’ early warning and detection task processing is analyzed;relevant conclusions are drawn. The simulation results and analysis conclusions can provide basis for the design of future ballistic missile and Space-Based early warning systems. |
