| In recent years,in order to adapt to the development of society,the number of meagprojects is increasing in China,as are their complexity,uncertainty and uncontrollable causes.Megaprojects face a lot of challenges,such as public conflicts and decision-making mistakes.Besides,megaprojects include several stakeholders that form a complex network thus affecting the smooth delivery and use of projects.However,because of project teams may not effectively share and integrate scattered knowledge,and cannot make full use of potential knowledge,leading to a high degree of knowledge and information redundancy in megaprojects.The transactive memory system,as a cooperative division of labor system formed among team members to acquire,store and apply information and knowledge from different fields,is conducive to integrate and utilize knowledge and information,maximizing the knowledge value of the project team and improving project performance.To explore the effects of structural characteristics of megaprojects network and transactive memory system on project performance,this study establishes a theoretical model with network density and network centrality as independent variables and transactive memory system as mediating variables based on social capital theory.In this study,316 valid data were collected by a questionnaire to test the theoretical model empirically.At the same time,Artificial Neural Network(ANN)was used to test the sensitivity and validity and elevate the reliability of the theoretical model,which make up for the weakness of structural equation model.In other words,it oversimplifies the sophisticated relationship between variables.The results indicate that:(1)network density is positively correlated with specialization,credibility of transactive memory system and project performance,but not with coordination;(2)network centrality is negatively related to specialization,credibility,coordination and project performance;(3)with the enhancement of transactive memory system,project performance will be improved;(4)specialization is significantly positively correlated with credibility and coordination,while the relationship between credibility and coordination is not significant.The above research conclusions provide theoretical guidance and decision-making for enriching the network research theory and system,expanding the application of social capital theory in megaprojects,and improving the level of knowledge and information management.At the same time,based on the actual situation of megaprojects in China,it is of great practical value to improve the level of knowledge management,make full use of potential knowledge resources,effectively share and integrate decentralized knowledge,maximize the knowledge value,improving the construction level of megaprojects and developing the national economy. |
