Design And Development Of Monitoring System For Distribution Room Operation Environment Based On IEC104 Protocol

The power distribution network is complex in structure in terms of wide coverage,huge number of distribution rooms in the area,scattered geographical location.Consequently,a lot of manpower,material and financial resources are required for patrol inspection and monitoring.The existing distribution room has the defects of single monitoring information,inconsistent communication protocol,diversified equipment interfaces,etc.,which can not effectively monitor the operation environment of the distribution room and the operation status of the distribution equipments,increasing the risk of distribution network failure.With the development of power grid,the distribution room,as the terminal of the distribution network,is directly facing the users,turning to the direction of IOT and intelligence.Therefore,an efficient monitoring system is urgently needed to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power distribution room.In this paper,a monitoring system for the operation environment of power distribution room is developed.The system is based on IEC104 protocol and consists of sensors,monitoring host,communication link,auxiliary equipment,and so on.By using this system,the operation environment and running status of the distribution room can be monitored in real time,and the auxiliary equipments of the distribution room can also be controlled locally or remotely.First,this paper explores the technical issues of the system development,proposes to use IEC104 protocol as the communication standard of the system.Second,this paper analyzes and proposes the functional and non-functional requirements of the monitoring system.Finally,this paper gives the engineering application of the proposed system,and reports the system functions test results.The tested results show that the system has practical engineering application value.
