As an essential part of urban power grid,transmission and distribution lines play the role of transmitting and distributing the electric power produced by various power plants or distributed energy sources to all kinds of users for their use.With the steady development of society and the continuous improvement of people's living standards,the demand for high power supply reliability is also increasing.Compared with rural areas,cities rely on faultless power supply reliability extremely because of its concentration of industrial and service industries.At present,the most important factor affecting the reliability index of urban power supply is the operation failure of transmission and distribution lines.The switch actions,equipment damages and voltage fluctuation caused by failures will directly lead to the loss of power supply,resulting in economic losses or adverse effects.At the same time,with the development goal of building a strong smart grid and a first-class modern distribution network proposed by State Grid Corporation,stricter requirements for the overall operation of the power grid are proposed.By means of line loss management and transformers area operation management,in view of various abnormal phenomena found in the operation and management of power grid,it is an important method to find out the causes of the abnormal phenomena and to fix them,so as to enhance the reliability of power grid.In this paper,the operation status of transmission and distribution lines in a district of Shanghai is studied.The operation failure data in the past three years is obtained.According to voltage levels,relay protection actions,fault reasons and equipment types,the overall situation of operation failures is analyzed.The main phenomena of lightning stroke failures,external force failures and equipment aging failures are discussed.Prediction of failure situation by grey model is issued.Pertinent improvement measures are proposed.Additionally,aiming at the abnormal line loss and abnormal operation of transformers area which are facing at present,further analysis is carried out to study the causes of the abnormal phenomena,and corresponding treatment methods are put forward.
