As energy exhausting, countries have strengthened the emphasis on energy efficiently use. As a secondary energy, electricity is important to the economy and people’s living pillars. Thus, improving energy efficiency become a pivot of the construction of conservation-oriented economy. The transformer is an extremely important part in the transmission of electrical energy distribution network. However, the transformer causes some loss during in its running process, and the run power loss is an important part of the total power system loss, which almost equal with Transmission and distribution line losses. Therefore, research on the Economic performance characteristics of the transformer has an great significance for improving overall system efficiency. The main research work and innovation of this paper are as follows.In this paper, firstly, the theory of economic operation of transformer is analyzed. According to the principle of transformer economic operation, the division of operation area of transformer in different situations is analyzed.Secondly, the economic operation principle of the transformer is analyzed and studied. Aiming at the problem of inverse power in transformer economic operation, the dynamic voltage compensator is proposed to adjust the output of the transformer. It can effectively avoid the closing operation of the transformer in the running of the economy failed to influence the normal power supply transformer, thus it can significantly improve the transformer’s economic operation characteristics and power supply reliability. According to the structure of dual power distribution network, a control algorithm based on dynamic voltage compensator for adjusting the circulating current of distribution network is proposed. By adjusting the circulating current of the distribution network, it can effectively reduce the total active power loss of the distribution network, at the same time, it can adjust the output of the transformer to avoid serious imbalance in transformer output will affect the reliability of power supply. And on the basis of it, a particle swarm optimization algorithm is proposed to solve the optimal compensation voltage problem of dynamic voltage compensator.At last, the optimization model is established, which is based on the minimum loss of the operating system of the distribution network, and the system reliability and the voltage of the distribution network, and particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to solve the optimization problem. The optimized voltage is compensated by a voltage compensator, and carried on emulation under the MATLAB environment. Simulation finally results show that the method can reduce the system loss on the basis of ensuring the power quality and power supply reliability.
