In the constant guided magnetic field and alternating electromagnetic field,the moving electrons will produce cyclotron resonance,which is a very important physical phenomenon and widely exists in nature.Among the developed devices,gyrotron is the most widely known.In fact,gyrotron rectifier is also an electronic device based on the gyrotron resonance phenomenon,which is different from the way of electron beam bunching of gyrotron.It is also worthy of our attention.With the rapid development of wireless power transmission technology,microwave energy transmission technology is becoming more and more possible.Compared with semiconductor rectifier diode,the gyrotron rectifier which converts microwave energy into direct current has the characteristics of high power and high voltage.It is one of the core devices in high power microwave energy transmission system.In this paper,a design method of cyclotron wave rectifier is proposed.Firstly,the operation principle of gyrotron rectifier is summarized,then the whole design parameters of C-band gyrotron rectifier are introduced,and the overall design considerations are made.Then,the electronic beam parameters,high frequency structure,input structure and collection stage are analyzed.Combined with CST simulation software,the geometric parameters of high frequency resonator and input structure are designed,and the coaxial filter structure is added to the input structure to realize the impedance matching of coaxial and harmonic resonators and to expand the bandwidth of the resonator.In the energy conversion region of electron beam,the basic distribution form of magnetic field and the length of energy conversion region are given to ensure the electron spin efficiency.According to the condition of the incident port of the high frequency interaction zone,the electric parameters of the electron gun are derived.The electron gun which meets the working condition of the gyrotron rectifier is designed by CST simulation.The transition zone between the electron gun and the gyrotron rectifier is analyzed.The matching work between the electron gun and the gyrotron rectifier is completed.In order to produce the axial magnetic field in the work,the permanent magnet material is selected,Through modeling and simulation,a variety of magnet combinations and polarizations are adopted to simulate and calculate the required axial magnetic field.Then,according to the electronic energy distribution atthe entrance of the collector,a two-stage buck collector is designed.Finally,the whole tube is simulated and optimized,including the thermal simulation analysis of the whole tube.Finally,the cyclotron wave rectifier with input microwave of 5.8GHz and 10 kW,electron gun power of 1.68 kW,output voltage of 23 kV,output power of 7.3kW and rectifier efficiency of 63% is successfully designed.
