That electrons move in high frequency electromagnetic field under the guidance ofa constant magnetic field, which is called the cyclotron resonance.It is a very importantphysical phenomena. It exists in nature widely and has been known by people and usedwidely. Gyrotron is familiar to us which is based on the cyclotron resonance mechanismand is one of the electronic device. Although some working mechanism devices havecertain difference from the gyrotron, they are also based on the cyclotron resonancephenomenon of microwave components and are also worthy of our study, including thecyclotron wave rectifier.Cyclotron wave rectifier is a special kind of cyclotron resonant components. Allelectrons working in cyclotron wave rectifier in the same condition at the same time,both acceleration and deceleration.And relativistic effect cannot influences it. Therefore,this kind of device has the very high beam-wave interaction efficiency. In wirelesstransmission technology and space solar power stations, cyclotron wave rectifier hasstrategic significance. It is one of the core components. It can converts the microwaveenergy to direct current (dc) efficiently. The United States, Japan, Russia has beenconducted in-depth research of the cyclotron wave rectifier; But so far, only a fewtheoretical research articles published, it was rarely deeply studied the cyclotron waverectifier at home.In wireless transmission technology and space solar power station, as themicrowave’s reflection and absorption to atmosphere affect the efficiency oftransmission, selecting a appropriate transmission frequency is very important.2.45GHzis a very good frequency, but it is in the communication frequency and it is easy tointerfere with communication, for5.8GHz can compensate for this deficiency.Therefore,5.8GHz cyclotron wave rectifier’s high frequency interaction field andbackward magnetic field is mainly studied in this thesis.This thesis adopts the method of the equivalent circuit analysis, and combined withCST and particle simulation software to research the Cuccia cavity, and successfully resolved the problem of Cuccia cavity structure parameters, beam-wave interactionefficiency, the impedance matching of the coaxial line and cavity. For backwardmagnetic field area, at first, we analyzed the electron motion equation in theory, andmade use of Matlab numerical simulation, and taken advantage of particle simulationsoftware simulating the particle’s motion. In the end, we successfully designed thereasonable magnetic field distribution of magnetic field area, ensuring the conversionefficiency of longitudinal energy to transverse energy. At last, we managed to design a5.8GHz cyclotron wave rectifier. The energy conversion efficiency of high frequency ofinteraction system is97.9%, and the efficiency of the backward magnetic field is96.4%.
