At present, with the increasingly growing demand for the intra-city express delivery, the traditional ground transportation-based delivery pattern has shown some disadvantages such as the poor timeliness, road traffic congestion and so on.However, some city express companies had applied metro network to the city main line distribution, which is punctual, low pollution and low cost.Combined with social practice, this essay innovatively integrated the subway network into the intra-city express delivery network, and optimized the delivery route of the courier. This research can provide solutions to solve the problems in the large intra-city express delivery. In this research,a new “Underground-Ground” integrated delivery pattern was built, which applied metro network into the city main line distribution. The metro distribution hub connects ground and underground delivery.Considered multiple transfer centers, subway frequency time table, the number of vehicles, the combination of the pickup and delivery, the customer's time window, and the dynamic demand, this essay tried to optimize the vehicle route. In this essay,it first solved the optimization of the static vehicle routing problem,in which all the customers' information is given. This essay built an intra-city express vehicle pickup and delivery model to maximize the customer satisfaction and proposed an improved genetic algorithm to solve the model. Then, based on the static vehicle route, this essay took dynamic customers' needs into consideration and built a dynamic model. Finally, this essay chose a city express company in Shanghai as an example for empirical study.By using the actual operation data, this essay can help the company to make better decisions.
