Hybrid Electrical Vehicles come into focus more and more since car manufacturers look for more efficient propulsion systems regarding energy and emission.AMT combine advantages of manual transmission and automatic transmission.Furthermore researches focus on improving transmission especially shifting process to get better efficiency.By choosing an appropriate shifting process with a suitable control strategy the shifting time can be reduced.Shifting time is an important topic in transmission research especially Automated Manual Transmission in Hybrid Electrical Vehicles. Some actual researches focus on improving gear shifting to influence driving comfort and fuel saving. In this thesis researches regarding gear shifting in HEV are done by means of a Simulink model. This model can simulate a Vehicle in engine only,Electrical Vehicle and HEV mode. The input of this model is the New European Driving Cycle.Simulated is shifting process in engine only mode and HEV mode with engaged clutch while shifting.Control model is designed using motor to synchronize transmission input shaft with transmission output shaft to reduce shift time. The impact of maximum motor torque on shifting time is investigated through simulation and results show transmission input shaft can be adjusted faster and shifting time decreases with large motor torque. Moreover, impact of different Kp and Ki parameters of PI controller is investigated in order to reduce shifting time.
