Fatigue driving is considered as one of the important risk factors for traffic accidents of large engineering vehicles.Most of the existing studies focus on the fatigue driving behavior of general vehicle drivers,and most of them use driving simulators for experimental research.Due to its large load and the particularity of the driver's occupation,the large engineering vehicle is obviously different from the ordinary car in terms of driving characteristics.However,it is difficult to carry out real vehicle experiments with large engineering vehicle drivers because of the limitations of various factors.Therefore,this paper organized the real vehicle test of large engineering vehicles,and showed the real vehicle test results of driving behavior of large engineering vehicles under the influence of fatigue.30 professional large engineering vehicle driver was invited to participate in the real vehicle experiment,collecting the kinematics parameters of driving(including speed,lateral and longitudinal acceleration)as a measure of drivers' driving behavior,collect driver's eye movement parameters and use eye closure percentage(PERCLOS)to determine the fatigue level of pilot in real time,using the fixation point frequency and scope of scanning of eye movement characteristics of driving behavior of auxiliary data analysis.The test data were divided into road section driving data and intersection driving data.The influence of fatigue level on the driving behavior of large engineering vehicles is analyzed and evaluated by using variance analysis on the driving data.The results show that the fatigue level of drivers has a significant impact on their driving behavior in a section.Drivers in a higher fatigue level tend to drive at a higher speed,but their ability to maintain speed stability is low.In addition,when the fatigue level increases,the driver usually maintains a relatively stable average value of acceleration and standard deviation of acceleration,but the minimum value and maximum value of acceleration increase,which reflects that the driver is more likely to take short-term and urgent actions when sleepy.According to the driving data of the intersection,this paper studies the non-signal controlled intersection and the signal controlled intersection respectively,analyzes the driving behavior and driving characteristics of the driver at the intersection under different fatigue levels,and analyzes and summarizes the driving kinematics and eye movement characteristics of each driving behavior of the driver.The study found that as the fatigue level of drivers of large engineering vehicles increased,their fixation point area would shrink,and their driving behaviors at intersections would be more aggressive,that is,driving risks at intersections would increase with the increase of fatigue level.The research results of this study explains the large engineering vehicle driver under different level of fatigue in sections and intersections in driving behavior characteristics,analyzes the risk caused by fatigue driving behavior change and the relationship between the driving and traffic safety,and the big truck driver's driving fatigue monitoring and early warning provides a new theoretical reference and research has practical application value.
