Based on the over-consolidated model proposed lately,which can model many characteristics of over-consolidated clays well,including stress-strain relationships,stress dilatancy,strain hardening and softening,and stress path dependency behavior,a new method that the Hvorslev envelope is substituted by a parabola approximately has been proposed in this paper.When the OCR is rather large,the slope of the curve is equal to 3.For the middle over-consolidated clays and light over-consolidated clays,the parabola is close to the Hvorslev envelope.When the OCR is equal to 1,the parabola goes back to the critical state line.Due to using the parabola as the potential strength envelope,the slope of Hvorslev envelopeM_h isn't required as a parameter anymore.The parameters in the proposed model are the same as those in the Modified Cam-clay model.The comparison between the test data and the predicted results under the triaxial undrained and drained conditions confirmed the rationality of the over-consolidated model based on the revised Hvorslev envelope.Digging lake for heaping a Hill is a common way during building modern gardens.Being used for large-scale projects,it often accompanies with a lot of geotechnical problems.Because the design of such projects often requires analysis of forecast,but full-scale test is impossible,numerical analysis is becoming one of effective meanses to resolve such problems.Based on this,in the paper,the analysis relies on ABAQUS to simulate the process of heaping the clay on the ground which is handled by dynamic compactions.The analysis result is compared with the results which calculated using the finite difference software FLAC by MCC.The result is very consistent with them and plays a verification role on the actual engineering design.In this paper,the revised constitutive model is combined with integral algorithm.The aim is to embed the model into FEM program for latecomers.The fully implicit numerical integration algorithm is used in this process.Based on the particularity of parameters of over consolidation model,the corresponding methods is lodged for solving the problems in this process,and provides a foundation for implementation of the model in Finite Element program.
