Research On Courtyard-style Residential Buildings In Jinzhong

The social progress in different historical periods has different effects on the development of traditional dwellings.Human beings have created social history,and history is also changing the living environment and way of life of human beings.Jinzhong residence,as a magnificent representative of the traditional residence,has always been famous for its large scale and exquisite meticulous.The Ming and Qing dynasties is the most glorious era of Shanxi businessmen,and its house architecture is the most exquisite part of Shanxi folk houses,while Jinzhong area,where Shanxi businessmen are most concentrated,is the quintessence of Shanxi folk houses.As the Shanxi merchant house carries a huge family,but also shows the strong financial resources and profound family connotation of the owner,this kind of building has reached an unprecedented height in terms of scale and decorative art.collectively referred to as "courtyard residential architecture".Starting with the climate,topography and geomorphology in Jinzhong,this paper carries out on-the-spot investigation and cultural exchanges,and combined with the existing research,discusses the architectural space layout,construction skills,decorative arts and cultural connotation of courtyard-style dwellings in Jinzhong.Based on the current situation of traditional dwellings in Jinzhong area,this paper analyzes the causes,architectural form and value of Jinzhong dwellings,so as to realize the development and design innovation of traditional architecture.Through the combination of modern architectural technology and traditional construction methods,we can create a living environment suitable for traditional residential buildings,and provide a way to better protect and inherit traditional buildings.
