In recent years,with the rapid increase of the number of vehicles and the proportion of heavy vehicles,the road service life is greatly shortened with the existence of different degrees of road diseases.Through the analysis of the related research and achievements of our country in the long life pavement,we find that there are two shortcomings: one is that the research object is mostly highway rather than urban road,the other is that the climate division is not fine,do not consider the uniqueness of regional climate.It is totally unacceptable to apply it to the pavement structure design of large traffic and different climatic regions,so that there is no long-lived pavement structure suitable for domestic traffic and environmental characteristics.In order to solve the influence of regional climate on pavement structure research,this paper proposes a long-lived asphalt pavement structure research based on Wuhan area,through data investigation,structure analysis,indoor test to analyze the long-lived pavement structure materials,so as to obtain a long-lived pavement structure suitable for Wuhan area.This paper focuses on the following:(1)By investigating the climate and traffic conditions in Wuhan,two major factors affecting asphalt roads in Wuhan were identified: high temperature and heavy load.(2)To study the effect of high temperature and heavy load on pavement structure.The mechanical responses of five common pavement structures under normal temperature standard load,high temperature,heavy load and high temperature heavy load are analyzed by the BISAR3.0.(3)Through the analysis of the influence of high temperature and heavy load on pavement structure,combined with the analysis of interlayer bond state and the superiority of AC and PCC high temperature resistance,the long life pavement structure form in Wuhan area is finally formulated.(4)Laboratory tests were carried out on the surface layer materials which are most affected by high temperature and heavy load.A,B,C 3 kinds of asphalt concrete gradation is designed in this paper,and the rutting and water stability tests of 3 kinds of gradation are carried out.The rutting test is divided into standard rutting test(60?,0.7MPa)and high temperature and heavy load rutting test(70?,0.8 MPa).By comparing the test data,a gradation with optimum rutting stability and certain water stability is obtained to determine the technical control index of asphalt concrete material for long life pavement structure in Wuhan area.
