Having excellent performance characteristics,the asphalt mixture is commonly used by our high-grade road as the main structure.However,with the rapid growth of high-speed development of the national economy and transportation business,the road traffic and axle load increase successively,and heavy loading and overloading phenomenon is very serious.Highway asphalt pavement often emerge serious rut diseases especially in the summer.That shortens the pavement life and service performance,and then seriously affects driving comfort even threatens traffic safety.Faced with the increasingly severe high temperature,heavy load and busy traffic road conditions,asphalt pavement anti-rutting requirements are also more and more higher.Adding anti-rutting agent in the asphalt mixture is an effective way to prevent the rutting disease.But current research of the anti-rutting agent pays more attention to the pavement performance under standard conditions,and the research of its mechanism is only the description and speculation for the test phenomena.Therefore,it is of very important theoretical significance and practical value to study the anti-rutting material of asphalt pavement on the zone with the heavy load,high temperature and busy traffic.This paper based on the coastal highway reconstruction project,through field survey,lots of laboratory tests,and novel microscopic analysis,Rad spunrie anti-rutting agent were studied on being used in the intermediate surface course of asphalt pavement for anti-rutting material design with the heavy load,high temperature and busy traffic environment.Main achievements are concluded as follows:1.Through the field survey and analysis,the size of the traffic,mainly vehicles,axle load range and high temperature conditions of the coastal highway were determined.2.Based on the study of Rad spunrie anti-rutting agent asphalt-aggregate ratio of asphalt mixture,the relationship between the adding amount of Rad spunrie anti-rutting agent with the oil of asphalt mixture was obtained.3.Results of pavement performance test show that the Rad spunrie anti-rutting agent can significantly improve the high temperature performance of asphalt mixture,and it has positive effects on the water stability and low temperature performance,but not obvious;the optimal dosage range was obtained;considering the principle of economy combined with design requirements,the Rad spunrie dosage was determined for the coastal highway.4.Using further high temperature performance test,the anti-rutting deformation capability of Rad spunrie with heavy load,high temperature and busy traffic conditions was obtained,and the law of heavy load,high temperature and busy traffic conditions impacting on the rutting was determined.5.Some analytical methods,such as Scanning Electron Micro-scope,Infrared Adsorption Spectrum Analysis,Thermogravimetric Analysis and Dynamic Mechanical Analysis in the material chemistry field were used to reveal inherently Rad spunrie's enhancement mechanism from the microscopic point of view.
