The frame is an important part that supports the entire vehicle body and goods.The quality of its structure directly affects the safety and load of the vehicle.This article took the 4.2m dual-use dump truck frame of Yuejin Engineering Vehicle as the research object,used HyperWorks software to perform static analysis and modal analysis on the original frame,performed two-dimensional topology optimization on the original frame based on the variable density method to obtain the optimized frame structure.The optimized frame was optimized and lightweight.The static analysis and modal analysis of optimized frame was carried out.The main research work of this article is as follows:(1)The finite element analysis model of the frame was established.The five typical working conditions of bending,torsion,braking,turning and lifting 0 °angle were used as the static analysis conditions of the frame.Constraints were imposed according to these conditions.The load was applied according to the weight of each component.The frame was analyzed to obtain stress and displacement cloud diagrams under various working conditions.Based on the free modal analysis method,the dynamic characteristics of the frame were analyzed,and the modal analysis diagram and problems of the original frame were obtained.(2)The Topology optimization model of the frame was established.The minimum frame flexibility was the target,and the volume ratio was the constraint.The frame topology optimization was performed under four typical working conditions of bending,1th torsion,2th torsion,and lifting 0 ° angle.Loads and constraints were applied based on these four conditions.The density distribution diagram and the iterative process diagram of the objective function under each working condition were obtained,and the optimal distribution of the frame beam was obtained.(3)Based on the results of the original frame static analysis,modal analysis,and topology optimization analysis.Structural optimization and lightweight design scheme of the frame were proposed.A 3D model of the optimized frame was created.Static analysis and modal analysis were performed on the optimized frame under the same working conditions and boundary conditions and the design analysis results of optimization were obtained.The analysis results of the frame before and after optimization were compared,and the strength and weight of the optimized frame were analyzed.The results showed that under the condition of ensuring strength,the optimized frame structure was more reasonable and the total mass was reduced.The maximum stress under the condition of lifting 0 °angle was greatly reduced,and the risk of frame fatigue damage was reduced,and the seventh-order modal frequency was increased.The resonance between the frame and the ground was reduced.The optimized design improved the dynamic and static performance of the frame and provided a basis for the structural optimization and lightweight design of the relevant dump truck frame.
