At this stage,the problem of environmental protection has become the focus of governments.How to solve the contradiction between the rapid development of the automobile industry and environmental protection has become the top priority of the work.With the encouragement and support of China's "going global" policy,those enterprises that have certain competitiveness in the domestic market went abroad bravely and accelerated the process of internationalization.Under the background of environmental protection and internationalization of Chinese enterprises,the internationalization strategy of new energy vehicles came into being.As the leader of China's new energy vehicle industry,BYD has bravely stepped out of the country since 2007.At present,it has occupied a place in the international new energy vehicle market,but there is still a relatively obvious gap with overseas well-known new energy vehicle enterprises such as Tesla.By comparing the internationalization path of BYD and Tesla,this paper finds the similarities and differences between them in the choice of internationalization path,so as to provide targeted suggestions for BYD and other domestic new energy vehicle enterprises in the choice of internationalization path,avoid "detours".Based on the theories of enterprise internationalization,the makes a comparative study of the internationalization path of BYD,the leader of China's new energy vehicle industry,and Tesla,a famous new energy vehicle enterprise all over the world.From three dimensions of product matrix,target market and entry mode to explore the differences between BYD and Tesla,and from the deep level of internationalization and business performance to verify the effect of their internationalization path selection.Finally,this dissertation come to the conclusion and put forward the improved suggestions for the internationalization path selection of Chinese new energy vehicle enterprises represented by BYD.First of all,on the basis of clarifying the theories of international operation of enterprises,this part starts from the global new energy vehicle market,understood the current situation and future trend of new energy vehicle ownership,battery and charging pile supply capacity and policies of various countries.Then briefly introduce the two companies,as well as comprehensively sort out the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats of international operation through SWOT analysis,to pave the way for the following comparative studies.The second is the focus of the dissertation,through comparative analysis of the two new energy vehicle enterprises' internationalization path and summed up the similarities and differences.It can be found that both of them include passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles in the product matrix,but their product focus and positioning are different;in the target market,both of them select the Americas,Europe and Asia Pacific region,but the entry strategies are totally different;in the entry mode,both of them adopt the entry mode of investment and plant building,in addition,Tesla adopts the franchise mode,while BYD adopts the mode of export and strategic alliance.It can be seen that the two car companies have both similarities and differences in the choice of internationalization path.Then through the quantitative comparative analysis,this part verified that whose internationalization path is more advantageous from the degree of internationalization and business performance.Combined with the above qualitative analysis,the dissertation concludes that Tesla's internationalization path is better than BYD's.Finally,the conclusion of this dissertation is drawn.According to the specific points of product matrix,target market and entry mode in the two internationalization paths,combined with the SWOT analysis of international operation above,the most targeted improved suggestions of the internationalization path selection are provided for China's new energy vehicle enterprises,such as BYD,so as to achieve "overtaking at the corner".
