Since the beginning of the 21st century,energy and environmental issues have been the focus of attention in the world.In the shipping industry,the development of all electric ships has become an effective way to alleviate the fossil energy crisis and reduce environmental pollution.Compared with the traditional ships,all electric ship has achieved energy conservation and emission reduction,and its maneuverability has also been improved.It has also been used more and more in the field of small ships such as tourist ships and unmanned ships.The pod electric propulsion system has developed rapidly in recent years with its good operation performance and high propulsion efficiency,but now it is mostly used in large ships.Therefore,in order to make the pod electric propulsion system more widely used in small ships,and the small all electric ship has better maneuverability,according to the requirements of the relevant parameters of the small all electric ship,a small all electric ship power assembly system based on pod propeller is developed,and it is hoped to be popularized and applied.The main work of this paper is as follows:According to the performance requirements of the whole electric ship,a kind of Pod propeller suitable for small ships is designed by using the DC brushless motor and digital steering engine,and the corresponding control algorithm.Taking the lithium iron phosphate battery as the power source,collecting the data information of BMS and propulsion device,writing the corresponding program with DSP technology,using pulse width modulation technology to control the propulsion motor and digital steering gear,and developing the power control system based on DSP.According to the requirements of design parameters,the sample ship is developed and tested with the developed pod propeller and power control system to verify whether the developed power assembly system meets the performance requirements.Trial test results show that the small all electric ship power assembly system can be normal operation in the sample,the pod propeller has good control performance,power control system has good real-time performance,not only can satisfy the speed,steering,range of performance requirements,and speed,battery life than expected demand,which can realize efficient green and stable operation of the ship.This technology research and development can provide a solution for the development of small green smart ships and the green development of shipping industry.
