With the improvement of people life style and the progress of civilization consciousness, people put forward higher requirements on ship propulsion performance, at the same time, power electronics, inverter control and computer control technology have achieved rapid development, in order to correspond with the development of the times, the ship electric propulsion for its with environmental protection, good reliability, energy-saving advantages of high efficiency, good operation, has become the main development direction among the ship propulsion methods, podded electric propulsion system as a kind of electric propulsion, has dominated the mainstream market of ship electric propulsion. Domestic and international shipbuilding industry and scientific research units have increased the research efforts and application market system to podded electric propulsion system. Podded propulsion has a big difference from conventional diesel propulsion, its structure determines its superior characteristics of podded propeller in the form of pod, placed within the pod propulsion motor with propeller linked directly, without intermediate shaft system, hanging on the bottom plate as a whole. This topic is based on the jimei university institute of Marine engineering ship integrated electric propulsion system of scientific research platform construction projects, to ship podded electric propulsion system through the research of ship machine propeller matching for the further study of podded electric propulsion system has very important significance.This thesis takes podded propulsion ship as the research object, on the basis of ship-machine- propeller matching design principle, adopt the method of equivalent design using conventional propeller POD propeller design POD propeller parameters, using Lab VIEW programming language develops ship machine propeller matching calculation software, optimize matching design, use electric propulsion research platform for simulation analysis. This thesis main works as follows:1.Introduced the domestic and foreign research status of podded electric propulsion ship and podded propeller structure, characteristic and classification of application;2.This paper introduced the resistance characteristic of the ship, propeller working characteristic, and the interaction of the propeller and hull, and detailed introduced the principle of ship machine propeller matching podded propulsion system;3.This paper expounds the ship propeller matching the overall design scheme, introduced the conventional propeller design methods, emphasis on the POD propeller equivalent design ideas, and focused on the research object of this article has carried on the design parameters of the POD propeller;4.According to the design, optimize of the design. In particular using Lab VIEW programming language developed propeller parameters optimization program and the ship-machine- propeller matching calculation and analysis platform, according to the design scheme and program, optimize the design scheme, finally selected optimized design scheme;5.Using the integrated electric propulsion platform simulated the design scheme.This paper completed the podded propulsion ship of ship machine propeller matching design research, designed the optimized ship- machine- propeller matching design scheme, and verified the dynamic simulation results.
