With the characteristic of adjustable damping,the valve-controlled damping adjustable shock absorber has always been a central issue.This paper explored the contribution of key parameters to the damping characteristic through designing of experiment.The optimal design of the structural parameters of the damping control valve is of great significance to shorten the design cycle of the shock absorber,reduce the development cost and adjust the chassis performance.The main work contents and conclusions are as follows:Based on the elastic mechanics,the analytical equation of the deflection of the annular valve plate was derived.The accuracy of the analytical equation was verified by the finite element method.It is found that the maximum error of the analytical curve and the finite element solution curve is 0.12%,and the error of the analytical solution and finite element deflection solution of the annular valve with different equivalent thickness is within 0.15%,which prove that the analytical equation of deflection is precise;On the basis of hydrodynamics,the mathematical model of pressure-flow characteristic of damper valve system was established.The influence of four parameters of preload,diameter of the fixed orifice,equivalent thickness and maximum clearance of the valve plate on the pressure-flow characteristic of the valve system was studied.The results show that:the pressure difference between the first and the second valve opening,the pressure-flow between the two valve opening increases with the increase of the preload of the valve plate;the pressure-flow decreases with the increase of the diameter of the fixed orifice;the pressure-flow between the two valve opening and the pressure of the second valve opening increase with the increase of the equivalent thickness;the pressure of the second valve opening increases with the increase of the maximum clearance of the valve plate.Based on the hydrodynamics,the mathematical model of damping characteristic of valve-controlled damping adjustable shock absorber was derived,and the damping characteristic was simulated.The shock absorber test bench was built and the damping characteristic was tested.The results show that:the error between the simulation results and the results of the experiment does not exceed 12%,indicating the correctness of the damping characteristic modeling;The contribution of the key parameters of the valve system to the damping characteristic of the valve-controlled damper was studied,and the design of experiment of the parameters affecting the damping characteristic of the compression stroke and the recovery stroke was carried out.The results show that:in the compression stroke,when the excitation velocity is 0.05m/s,the contribution of diameter of the fixed orifice to the damping work is the largest,reaching 87.09%;when the excitation velocity is 0.13m/s,0.26m/s,the total contribution of the three parts(i.e.,the diameter of the fixed orifice,the preload of the valve a and the equivalent thickness of the valve a)reaches 94.22%,90.57%respectively;when the excitation velocity is 0.52m/s,1m/s,the contribution of the equivalent thickness of the check valve a is the largest,reaching 55.14%and 50.43%respectively.The conclusion of recovery stroke is similar to that of compression stroke.Based on the evaluation method of vehicle ride comfort,the key parameters of valve-controlled shock absorber were optimized.A 1/4 vehicle vibration model and a random road model of the coupling valve-controlled damping adjustable shock absorber were set up with the objective of minimizing the weighted acceleration root mean square of the vehicle body.Seven structural parameters of the damper control valve were optimized by multi-island genetic algorithm.The results show that the root mean square value of vehicle body weighted acceleration decreases from 0.714m~2/s to 0.67m~2/s,with a decrease of 5.6%,which shows that the vehicle ride comfort is improved after optimization.
