With the development and widespread application of wireless network technology, vehicle communication services and Internet services can be provided in a flexible and convenient manner. However, due to the rapid topology changes, huge network scale and highly predictable mobility of the vehicular ad hoc networks, the vehicular ad hoc networks is more likely to face the problem of information leakage. In this paper,key-insulated is introduced to studies the message authentication in vehicular ad hoc networks, and two schemes are proposed in order to meet the security and privacy protection requirements of vehicular ad hoc networks. The main work is as follows:Firstly,an efficient anonymous authentication scheme for vehicular ad hoc networks is proposed.Based on the identity cryptosystem, the scheme uses RSU as the assistant.By introducing key-insulated technology and updating the key of the vehicle user and the assistant periodically, the leakage of the temporary key in the current time does not affect the signature in other timeperiods. After the trusted authority completes the identity authentication of the vehicle user, the roadside unit helps vehicles within the jurisdiction to update the temporary key to complete the signature of the message, the roadside unit or other vehicle users can verify the signed message. This scheme is based on the bilinear pairing operation and is proved under a random oracle model.Efficiency analysis shows that compared with similar schemes, this scheme has better efficiency in terms of computational complexity.Secondly, this paper proposes a certificateless batch anonymous message authentication scheme based on key-insulated technology in the vehicle ad hoc network.Based on the certificateless-based cryptosystem, the scheme uses RSU as the assistant.By introducing key-insulated technology and updating the keys of the vehicle user and the assistant periodically, the leakage of the temporary private key in a certain period of time will not affect the forward and backward security.Based on the non-bilinear pairings, the scheme not only provides conditional privacy protection,key-insulated,key security update and other security features for the vehicle, but also can resists various types of security attack. The results of efficiency analysis show that the scheme can achieve better efficiency in computational complexity and further enhance the security of the scheme. This is of great significance to enhance the security of the vehicular ad hoc network in the resource-limited vehicular ad hoc network significance.
