Nowadays,the rapid development of technologies such as communication,big data and cloud computing has enabled the rapid implementation of concepts such as unmanned driving,Internet of Vehicles and smart cities.Due to the complex working environment of vehicles and strict safety regulations,safety issues have become more and more important.For digital traffic safety systems,random numbers are often used as public keys,secret keys,and digital signatures to ensure the security of the system.Pseudo-random numbers are generated by specific algorithms and seeds,which are predictable and will give the vehicle traffic safety system bring great security risks.True random numbers are derived from physical entropy sources and are unpredictable and unreproducible.Using them as random numbers will bring a reliable guarantee for the system.At present,massive amounts of data are encrypted and transmitted under the Internet of Vehicles,which has higher requirements for the quantity and quality of true random numbers.In this paper,an ultra-highspeed true random number generator is designed.Its entropy source structure adopts a metastable ring oscillator scheme.The random sequence is obtained including true randomness and pseudo-random,and the random sequence is introduced into the element based on random storage.Cellular automata makes it more disorderly,and finally adds an correction network and encryption circuit to further compress the data and increase the entropy value of the random sequence.The ultra-high-speed true random number generator designed in this paper is implemented and verified on an FPGA development board based on the Xilinx XC7Z035-FGG676-2I chip.The generated random sequence can pass the NIST SP 800-22 randomness test.The experimental results show that this design uses the hardware resources are few.At a working frequency of 500 M,its random number generation rate is as high as 1Gb/s,and it has good portability and scalability.Compared with other commercial true random number generators on the market,the generation rate is greatly improved.
