Currently, a significant feature of Chinese urban traffic is motor and non-motor vehicles’ high-mixed traffic flow. The difference between the mixed traffic flow characteristics in China and the pure motor traffic flow characteristics in foreign countries is very large, and the mutual interferences among motor vehicles, non-motor vehicles and pedestrians at road intersections result in seriously declining of road capacity, especially. Thus, establishing motor and non-motor vehicles’microeosmic simulation model of road intersections which is in line with Chinese actual situation not only can further promote the improvement and development of traffic flow theory, but also can develop traffic simulation platform which is in line with mixed traffic characteristics in practice. This paper introduces behavioral choices of driver into evolution rules based on cellular automation model, and establishes motor and non-motor vehicles’mixed traffic flow model at road intersections, which not only can reveal the internal mechanism of mixed traffic conflicts at intersections, but also can simulate decision-making behaviors of motor and non-motor vehicles’drivers under mixed traffic.Firstly, the research background is minutely expounded. The current domestic and overseas research results are discussed from the aspects of conflict research statuses between motor and non-motor vehicles, behavioral research statuses of drivers’visual characteristics and mixed traffic flow model, and the research line of this paper is designed based on above literature reviews.Then, the traffic characteristics of right-turn motor vehicles and non-motor vehicles at road intersections are studied, the following features and the going across non-motor vehicles behaviors of right-turn motor vehicles are focused on analyzing; the operating characteristics of non-motor vehicles at road sections and intersections and the non-motor vehicles going across motor vehicles behaviors are also focused on analyzing.Furthermore, the intersection is discretized, cellular space and size are delineated, and driving rules of non-motor vehicles as well as motor vehicles which are at road sections, decision points, and starting points are formulated. The motor and non-motor vehicles’ mixed traffic flow model is established based on the above rules, which includes rules of right-turn motor vehicles going across straight non-motor vehicles and rules of straight non-motor vehicles going across right-turn motor vehicles.Finally, motor and non-motor vehicles’ mixed traffic flow model is programmed and simulated by using Matlab software, which gets mixed traffic system phase diagram, simulates the interaction between right-turn motor vehicles and straight non-motor vehicles, and verifies the accuracy of the model.
