The process of urbanization is intensifying,and the city will become the main gathering place for the population.The street,as the artery of the city,maintains the operation of the city and plays an important role in the city.In the 20 th century,the car-centered urban development model has been insufficient,resulting in a single function of the street,unbalanced user demand,people are reluctant to stay in the streets,green bicycles and other modes of travel are also hindered,and the relationship between people and cities is fragmented..The street is dominated by cars and has also spawned a series of social problems.Street space occupies 80% of the public space in most cities.Streets should be an important part of people's living and life,and they are an indispensable part.Nowadays,with the development and promotion of public transportation,the advancement of technology and operation mode,the way of travel of citizens has become more efficient and diversified.The operational capacity of privately-run enterprises and the rational use of resources have formed a dense city with a composite mode intermodal network.The number of private cars that have traveled has declined,and the space of the streets has been gradually returned to pedestrians.The redesign of urban streets has made the city more efficient and more humane,attracting more talents to form a virtuous circle.In view of the above problems,this paper takes the composite mode as a design point,and we need to pay attention to the combination of streets.The public space in the street not only includes the operation of the car,but also the issues of public health and safety,people's quality of life,environmental sustainability,economic sustainable development,social equity,etc.We need to make the street more functional and more suitable.life.Through a deep understanding of the functions,forms and needs of different streets,combined with the design of urban streets,street aesthetics,sociology and other disciplines.The analysis summarizes the existing problems and impacts of urban streets,and then improves the current situation for these problems,making the streets more suitable for pedestrians,bicycle cyclists,motor vehicle drivers,public transportation passengers,freight operators,vendors and other users.Let the city run more efficiently and the environment is more pleasant and sustainable.This article considers how to balance the spiritual needs and material needs of different users in urban street design,and to meet some new modes of travel.By designing the transformation of Dongguan Yuanmei East Road as an example,design a safety and comfort that can make pedestrians travel safely.It is more convenient for pedestrians,a more balanced road between private motor vehicles and public transportation,a sustainable urban economy and environmental development,and a street with higher quality of life for urban residents.According to the needs analysis ofdifferent users,improve the different functions of the street.By reorganizing the street functions,the streets are divided into different functional modules,and recombined according to the demand of different functions to form a more balanced street.Let the streets be more human-oriented,adapt to the development of the city,and make the city more livable.Finally,the model has been verified by an instance.At the same time,the results required has been analyzed and evaluated.
