The developmental time, survival rate and fecundity of Elaeidobius kamerunicus Faust was studied in the laboratory. The main results were as follows:1.The effect of different temperature on the developmental time, survival rate and fecundity of E.kamerunicus Faust. The developmental time with the different temperature had a non-linear relationship between 16 ? to 32.The developmental time for the whole generation of E.kamerunicus Faust between 16 ? to 32 ? were 33.68 days,22.30 days,15.10 days,10.30 days and 12.01 days;the survival rate of it were 15.85%,34.10%,59.29%;70.02%and 17.84%;the fecundity of it were 18.28 grains,29.11 grains,35.21 grains,43.45 grain sand 36.02 grains, respectively. The developmental time is shortest and the survival rate is largest when the temperature is 28 ?.The fecundity of E.kamerunicus Faust is also largest when the temperature is 28 ?.2.The development zero temperature and effective temperature of E.kamerunicus Faust. The development zero temperature and effective temperature of E.kamerunicus Faust have some different change in different development time.Linear regression indicated that the developmental temperature thresholds of preoviposition, eggs, linstar larvae,2instar larvae,3instar larvae and pre-pupae,pupae stages and generation were 11.02??13.28??13.13??11.44??10.96??4.66??9.84? and 13.28?,respectively.The effective accumulated temperature of he above stages were 25.87 degree days?13.39 degree days?13.66 degree days?19.02 degree days?25.54 degree days?78.73 degree days?47.64 degree days and 211.49 degree days,respectively.3.Population life table of E.kamerunicus Faust at different temperaturesThe innate capacity of natural increase(rm)was larger than 0,and the population trend index(I)was larger thanl,it explained that the population of E.kamerunicus Faust was increase in the range of 16? to 32?.According to the above date, the most suitable temperature range for the development of E.kamerunicus Faust was from 24?to 28?.4.The effect of different relative humidity(RH)on the developmental time, survival rate and fecundity of E.kamerunicus Faust. In the range of 55%?95%RH,developmental duration and survival rate of egg,1 instar larva,2instar larva,3instar larva,pre-pupae,pupae,pre-ovipositor,and generation were the shortest at 85%RH.In the range of 55%?95%RH,the generation of E.kamerunicus Faust were 23.82 d,19.01 d,17.81 d,15.51 d and 17.45 d;the survival rate of it were 28.94%,35.34%,50.10%,60.24%and 44.22%;the fecundity of it were 21.52 grains,30.41 grains,36.27 grains,38.17 grains and 33.66 grains, respectively. The relationships of the developmental duration, survival rate of each stage and relative humidity(RH)were described as parabolas. It is indicade that the developmental time is shortest, the survival rate and fecundity are largest when the relative humidity(RH)is 85%.5.Population life table of E.kamerunicus Faust at different relative humidity(RH).In the range of 55%?95%RH,the innate capacity of natural increase(rm)was 9.2666,14.3176,11.3126,6.6902 and 3.87771;the population trend index(I)was 0.1276,0.1716,0.1362,0.1000 and 0.0569.Then we can easily find that the innate capacity of natural increase(rm)was larger than 0,and the population trend index(I)was larger than 1larger than 1.The suitable relative humidity for development of E.kamerunicus Faust was 85%according to the above date.
