Experiments were conducted to determine the effect of different level of alfalfa meal(replace the same level of peanut straws)on production performance,serum biochemical indexes,digestibility,antioxidant index and rumen microorganisms in Boer goat.A total of 75 healthy Boer ewes at 3 month old weighing about 24-28 kg were randomly assigned to 5 treatments,3 replicates per treatment and 5 Boer ewes per replicate according to body wight,using complete random single factorial design.The grouping as following: the control group(0%alfalfa meal+40%peanut straws),group(40)(10%alfalfa meal+30%peanut straws),group ?(20%alfalfa meal+20%peanut straws),group ?(30%alfalfa meal+10%peanut straws),group ?(40%alfalfa meal+0%peanut straws).This study contains three major experiments: the objective of Exp.1 was to analyze the effects of alfalfa meal on production performance,intestinal morphology and serum index in Boer goat;Exp.2 was mainly about the effects of alfalfa meal on the antioxidant capacity of serum and tissue;Exp.3 were conduct to determine the effects of alfalfa meal on the rumen microorganisms.The results were as follows:Exp.1:(1)There was no significant difference in ADFI of all treatment groups;the ADG of group ??? were significantly higher than the control group,and increased with the increasing level of the alfalfa meal;the F/G of all treatment groups were lower than the control group,group ? had the best performance and was significantly lower than the control group,and group?,?.(2)The duodenal VH of all treatment groups were significantly higher than the control group,and increased with the increasing level of the alfalfa meal,the CD of all treatment groups were significantly lower than the control group,while the VH/CD were significantly higher than the control group;there were no difference observed on ejujnal VH?CD?VH/CD among all groups;the ileum VH of all treatment groups were significantly higher than the control group,while had no significant difference in CD ? VH/CD wereobserved among all groups.(3)The pepsin activity of group?was significantly higher than the control group,increased first and then decreased;There was no difference in amylase and lipase activity of duodenum,jejunum and ileum among all groups,the trypsin activity of group ? was the highest,and significantly higher than the control group,the chymotrypsin activity of group ? was the highest.(4)The ALT activity in Serum biochemical of group?,?were significantly lower than the control group;the AST activity in Serum biochemical of group ?,?,? were significantly lower than the control group,meanwhile group?was significantly lower than group(40);the content of GLO in group?was significantly higher than the other group,the ALB/GLO of group?was significantly lower than the control group,and group ?,?,the content of Ig G in group?was significantly higher than the other group,while no difference were observed among other groups.Exp.2:(1)The CAT activity of group?,?were significantly higher than the control group and group(40);the GSH-Px activity of group?was significantly higher than the other group;there were no significant difference on MDA,T-AOC,SOD among all groups.(2)All antioxidant index in liver had no significant difference among all groups,the T-AOC in kidney of group? were significantly higher than the control group and group?,the SOD of group?,? were significantly higher than the control group and group(40),there were no significant difference on GSH-Px,MDA,CAT among all groups;the GSH-Px activity in spleen of group?was significantly higher than the other group;the content of MDA in group?was significantly lower than the control group,while no difference were observed on CAT,T-AOC,SOD among all groups.(3)The activity of CAT in duodenum of group ?was significantly higher than the other group,the activity of GSH-Px and SOD were significantly higher than the other group,the content of MDA in group ?,?were significantly lower than the control group,while there were no difference observed the T-AOC among all groups;the activity of GSH-Px in jejunum of group?was significantly higher than the other group,there were no significant difference on T-AOC,CAT,SOD,MDA among all groups;the content of MDA in ileum of four treatment groups were lower than the control group significantly,while no difference were observed on other index among all groups.Exp.3:(1)From the test of diversity index,we can know that group?and ? had the better diversity of microorganism.(2)There different level of alfalfa meal effect on rumen microflora structure of Boer goat,but does not change the dominant bacteriafloras(Bacteroides and Fimicutes)of gastric juice,the phylum of Bacteroides is most abundant.(3)There was a high proportion of Bacteroides-Prevotella in group?,specific reasonis will be studied on the further.
