The APF-? attractant for Monochamus alternatus is mainly liquid product with volatile, moreover, the cost of controlling M.alternatus will be very expensive if it is applied directly in the infested pine forest,so how to slow down the release speed and extend the durability is one of the most important issues to improve the control effect of attractant. In this paper, based on serial assays on different slow-release materials, volume of samples, temperature and humidity,we tried to optimize the attractant to get cheaper, more environment-friendly,effective,long durability products for M.alternates, which will be very helpful to provide fundmental theory and support for IPM of M.alternates.The results were as follow:1.Both of single slow-release membrane types and compound slow-release membranes had an effect on releasing of attractant for M.alternatus significantly, besides, the release of attractant for M.alternatus decreased with the incr easing of days. The slow-release membranes of A and B were better than all other treatments, because their average release were stabler than all other different types of slow-release membranes during the process of assays. The compound membrane F could be a kind of ideal packing material due to barrier property for M.alternatus attractant, while average release of compound slow-releas emembranes H,I?N,O also maintained better effect for controlling M.alternatus in the field within 30-60 day.2.Sample size and releasing day had a prominent effect on the releasing rates about M alternatus attractants, and both them also had a remarkable interaction(P<0.05).Average release of attractants increased with sample size;average release of attractants gradually decreased with days, moreover,it could prolong effectively release time relied on increasing sample size.It could adjust sample size according to control-needs to reach economic and effective target.3.Under the condition of different temperatures and humidity, the comparisons and analysis about slow-release membrane demonstrated that slow-release membrane and temperature both had a remarkable effect on the release of M alternatus attractants(P<0·05),while the effect of humidity was not(P<0.05).The release of M.alternatus attractants increased with temperature. To ensure thebest suitable combinations which were slow-release way and sample size would be according to the locations'temperature changed with different seasons(ormonths)in practice.
