Maize mites are worldwide herbivores, resulting in serous damage on maize yield. To date, studies on mite-resistant genetic and breeding were lacking in maize production and breeding activities;and, exploring mite-resistant QTLs and identification the genes relateted with maize mite-resistance need to be carried out.In present study, using highly mite-resistant BSSS53-B(B)and highly susceptible Mo17-476(M)as parents, the F2 and F3 popopulations were constructed.Subsequently, primary papping of mite-resistant QTL in maize was conducted. The results showed:1?The lengths ot genetic linkage maps based F2 derived from the crosses BxM,MxB and total F2 progenies were was 2791.19cM,2912.41cM,3016.97cM,with average marker intervals of 17.89cM,8.79cM,19.60cM,in 2015.and,the lengths ot genetic linkage maps based F2 derived from the crosses BxM,MxB and total F2 progenies were was 2124.63cM,2263.91cM,2216.61cM,with average marker intervals of 13.45,14.51 and 14.21cM,whereas the lengths ot genetic linkage maps based F3 derived from the crosses BxM,MxB and total F2 progenies were was3627.32cM,3601.76cM,3612.7cM,with average marker intervals of 23.40cM,23.23cM and 23.3cM,in 2016.The average marker intervals on the genetic linkage maps for these three populations were about 20cM.2?Using the same F2 populations, across two generations and two mapping,a total of 49 major QTLs with high contribution to mite-resistance with PVE%values greater than 10 in maize was mapped.3?And,these major mite-resistant QTLs distributed within 25 diverent mapping intervals on different maize chromosomes.4?Eleven papping positions with marker intervals less than 20cM were obtained.5?In particular,on chromosome 3,one QTL mapping interval of 5.1cM between bnlg197 and umc2050 was detected, which included three QTLs qZmSWR3-1,qZmSWRa3-1 and qZmDMRa3-1,with high contribution of 11.2—13.6 to maize mite-resistance.6?In addition,on chromosome 5,one QTL mapping interval of 5.1cM between bnlg609 and umc2143 was detected, which included one QTL of qZmSWR5-1 with high contribution of 10.3 to maize mite-resistance...
