Mung bean is considered as a farm crop with the healthy function, which plays an important role in the process of agriculture transformation in Shanxi Province. For a long time, the planting area of mung bean decreased sharply due to the low yield and poor profit, therefore,it is necessary to breed new varieties with high yield and high quality and to promote the production of specific crops and the development of multi-functional agriculture in Shanxi province. Therefore, the experiment was carried out to analyze agronomic traits and the yield formation to supply theoretical basis for the breed of mung bean in the study. The main resulted showed as followed:(1)For 58 mung bean varieties of agronomic traits of correlation analysis showed that the yield of mung beans was affected by those factors with the following order:pod weight>number of pods per plant>pod tare>aboveground biomass per plant>main stem branching number>plant height>number of main stem section. However, other traits, such as growth period, main stem diameter, pod length, pod width, pod grain number, hundred grain weight, root weight per plant, beginning flowering had a small effect on the yield of mung beans.(2)On the basis of 16 agronomic traits,58 germplasm resources of mung beans were mainly divided into four categories with Euclidean distance at 40.The second category included about 27 germplasm resources of mung beans, and the third category included about 26 germplasm resources of mung beans. Both two categories consisted most of agronomic traits. In addition, the fourth category only included three germplasm resources of mung beans(Jiangxian Mung bean,Jin Mungbean 7,and Jilv0308).Thereinto,most of agronomic traits were the best except for 100-grain weight and width of pod, therefore, the fourth category resources could be as main varieties to breed in current region.
