At present,the excessive use of chemical fertilizers has become the major issue for the agricultural production and food safety in China.Therefore,the development of an efficient and non-toxic new fertilizer is urgently needed to reduce production costs and increase profitability.Sea weed essence plays an important role in improving soil physical and chemical properties enhancing crop root growth in trun improves yield and quality.In order to explore the potential application of seaweed extraction in rice crop at different periods 2017,two experiments were set up with temperature sensitive conventional rice-nong 1.The experiment one "The effect of application of seaweed fertilizer on rice growth and yield in different periods" March 2017.The experiment was conducted at the agricultural scientific research station of Guangxi University.In the field,experiment two "The effect of spraying seaweed solution on the yield and quality of rice in different periods was carried out in the laboratory of agricultural scientific research station of Guangxi University March 2017.The main results are as follows:The application of 1.seaweed essence significantly increased the yield of rice.The most observable effect of increasing the yield of seaweed extract in different periods was the application of seaweed essence in the tillering stage,the yield increased of early and late season rice reached 9.83%,8.43%.The most significantly effect on yield increasing by seaweed extraction at tillering and booting stage.Shi Haizao’s BWC4 treatment increased by 6.28%and 7.49%yield in the early and late season.2.Increasing the number of effective panicles and 1000 grain weight is the main reason for the high yield of rice.The application of alginate extract increased the tiller number of rice,and effected significantly rice growth at tillering stage,which provided a basis for increasing the number of effective panicles.Leaf area index different due to the different growth stages of alginate application and the way of application.The best time to improve the leaf area index by application of seaweed extract in early and late season was the tillering stage,and there was little difference between the early and late season treatments although the leaf area of rice increased under the use of algae..,the dry matter accumulation was higher than that of in control.The increase of dry matter accumulation was sifnificant under seaweed extract fertilization during tillering stage.Foliar spraying of seaweed extract had the most obvious effect on dry matter production.BW4 increased and dry matter increased,which laid the foundation for high yield of rice.The application of alginate concentrate increased the tiller ability production of rice,delayed the senescence of leaves,and ensured the supply of materials.3.The application of two kinds of algae fertilizer in this study was applied in three different periods:(1)Fertilizer root application:seaweed fertilizer is a natural soil conditioner.The seaweed polysaccharide can not only adsorb heavy metal ions but also promote soil formation,improve soil porosity,raise soil aeration and increase soil organic matter,etc.Combined with chemical fertilizer can activate soil and improve the utilization rate of chemical fertilizer,to achieve optimal yield.The period of mixing fertilizer is divided into three stages:basal fertilization,tillering stage,booting stage.(2)Foliar spraying:foliar spraying of fertilizer is widely using method at present.This method can quickly supplement the required nutrients for plants,accelerate the absorption of plants to meet the needs of its growth and development,and improve the utilization of seaweed fertilizer to reduce costs.The period of foliar spraying was slightly different from fertilizer application,which was divided into three parts,returning green period,tillering stage,booting stage and seaweed essence into base fertilizer,tillering fertilizer and panicle fertilizer respectively.The effect of 4.seaweed extract on rice quality was less,and the application of seaweed extract significantly reduced the brown rice rate and the whole accuracy rice rate in the rice milling quality,and had less effect on the appearance quality and the cooking quality.There was no significant difference in foliar spray of seaweed extract.The experiment showed that alginate extract only increased rice yield and had no significant effect on its quality.Application of seaweed extract can enhance rice tillering potential,increase the leaf area and dry matter production,increase the number of effective spikes and 1000 grain weight and obtain high yield,and only increase the rice yield to less effect on the quality of rice.The effect of the application of seaweed essence on rice yield was affected by the different application period and the way of application.The period of the maximum effect of the application of seaweed fine fertilizer on the growth and accumulation and yield of rice was the tillering stage.Foliar spray of alginate extract showed the best performance was BW4(green,tillering and booting stage).These data also provides a theoretical basis for the future application of alginate in the southern paddy field.
