It is proverbial that rice is an important food crop.With the population increasing and the cultivated land is becoming less,it is necessary to increase the yield of rice to meet people's demand for food.Rice leaf angle which is between the rice leaf blade and the stem is an important agricultural trait.Researches indicate that the rice leaf angle is negatively correlated with the yield of rice,and it was sensitive to BR.We also found that BZR1 and GSK2 which are important components in BR signaling pathway,play a key role in regulating the rice leaf erectness.Light not only can provide source of energy for photosynthesis in plants,but also regulate the plant growth and development.We found that light especially the blue light can accelerate the rice lamina bending.In the previous studies,we found that the blue light can accelerate the lamina bending through upregulating the biosynthesis of BR,whether there are other mechanisms remained to be studied.In the Arabidopsis thaliana,we found that BZR1 can interact with COP1,and the involvement of PHOT1 and NPH3 in regulating the leaf positioning.To study whether OsCOP1,OsPHOT1 and OsNPH3 are involved in the regulation of rice lamina bending,we constructed the genetically modified material of OsCOP1,OsPHOT1 and OsNPH3,which are key components in blue light signaling pathway.And then the flag leaf angle in maturation stage and the first complete leaf angle of the 9th day after planting were calculated.We can conclude that OsCOP1 plays a negative role in regulating the rice lamina bending,while OsPHOT1 and OsNPH3 have a positive role.We also found that OsCOP1 can interact with OsBZR1,and OsNPH3 interact with OsGSK2 in this study.Thus we speculate that light may work with BR to regulate the lamina bending.
