Abstract/Summary:
This study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary complex probiotics of Lactobacillus and Yeast in late pregnancy on the production performance, biochemical indexes, antioxidant indexes, immune indexes, and hormone indexes in plasma and milk composition, and determine the optimum additive quantity of complex probiotics in diets of late pregnancy sows.Forty eight“Large White×Landrace”hybrid sows which were 3th party and on the 80th day of pregnancy with similar body condition were randomly divided into 4 groups with 12 replicates per group and 1 sow per replicate. The sows in control group, experimental groupⅠ,experimental groupⅡandexperimental groupⅢwere fed the basal diet supplemented with 0,150,300 and 450mL/d fermentation liquid of complex probiotics of Lactobacillus and Yeast, respectively. The pretest lasted for 5 days, and the test lasted for 37 days from the 85thh day of pregnancy to the 7thh day of lactation and diets in 7 days of lactation without fermentation liquid of complex probiotics. The results showed as follows:(1)Production performance of sows:Compared with control group, the weight of birth of piglets in all experimental groups was significantly increased(P<0.05),and the birth litter weight of piglets in groupⅡwas significantly increased(P<0.05).(2)Biochemical indexes in plasma of sows:Compared with control group,on the day of parturition, the contents of total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG)and high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)in plasma of sows in groupⅡwere significantly increased(P<0.05).On the7th day of lactation, the content of low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)in plasma of sows in groupⅡwas significantly increased(P<0.05).(3)Antioxidant indexes in plasma of sows:Compared with control group,on the day of parturition, the content of malondialdehyde(MDA)in plasma of sows in groupⅠwas significantly decreased(P<0.05).On the 7th day of lactation, the content of superoxide dismutase(SOD)in plasma of sows in groupⅠwas significantly increased(P<0.05).(4)Immune indexes in plasma of sows:Compared with control group,on the day of parturition, the contents of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),immunoglobulin G(IgG)in plasma of sows in all experimental groups were significantly increased(P<0.05).And the content of immunoglobulin M(IgM)in plasma of sows in groupsⅡandⅢwas significantly increased(P<0.05).(5)Hormone indexes in plasma of sows:Compared with control group,on the day of parturition, the contents of Progesterone(PROG),Insulin(INS)in plasma of sows in all experimental groups were significantly decreased(P<0.05),the content of growth hormone(GH)in plasma of sows in all experimental groups was significantly increased(P<0.05),and the content of insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1)in plasma of sows in groupsⅡandⅢwas significantly increased(P<0.05).On the 7th day of lactation, the content of PROG in plasma of sows in all experimental groups was significantly decreased(P<0.05),and the content of INS in plasma of sows in groupsⅡandⅢwas significantly decreased(P<0.05).(6)Routine composition in milk of sow:Compared with control group,in the milk of 0th hour of parturition, the contents of milk protein(MP)and milk solids(MS)in groupsⅠandⅢwere significantly increased(P<0.05),and the content of milk fat(MF)in all experimental groups was significantly increased(P<0.05).(7)Immune indexes in milk of sow:Compared with control group,in the milk of 0th hour of parturition, the contents of IgM and IgG in groupⅡwere significantly increased(P<0.05).12thh hour of parturition, the content of IgM in groupⅢw as significantly increased(P<0.05).24th hour of parturition, the contents of IgA and IgM in groupⅢwere significantly increased(P<0.05).On the 7th day of lactation, the content of IgM in all experimental groups was significantly increased(P<0.05),and the content of IgG in groupsⅡandⅢw as significantly increased(P<0.05).(8)Hormone indexes in milk of sow:Compared with control group,in the milk of 0th hour of parturition, the content of prolactin(PRL)in groupsⅡandⅢwas significantly increased(P<0.05).24th hour of parturition, the content of IGF-1 in groupⅢwas significantly increased(P<0.05).On the 7th day of lactation, the contents of PRL and IGF-1 in groupsⅡandⅢwere significantly increased(P<0.05).The above results indicated that under the experimental conditions, during the late pregnancy period of the sow,the addition of fermentation liquid of the complex probiotics could promote the growth of the fetus during the later period of pregnancy, improve the production performance of sows, enhance the lipid metabolism in plasma, antioxidant capacity and body immunity of sows, and improve the milk composition and insulin resistance of sows.Comprehensive test results suggested that the optimal additive quantity of fermentation liquid of the complex probiotics should be 300 mL/d.
