Muskmelon is an annual herb of the subgenus, that is belong to the cucurbitaceae. It is a worldwide horticultural crop and the one of the important horticultural and economic crops in China. Its germplasm resources and variation types are very abundant.Melon is popular in all kinds of people by its sweet and aromatic flavor. With the increasing demand for melons, the quality of melon fruit is also receiving more attention. If the melons'fruit index and peel thickness were basically the same, the melon would be easily preserving and transporting and not to be cracked during ripening when it has fruit surface groove. And without the fruit surface groove. Then it might have an opposite condition. Therefore, the research on the traits of melon fruit canal groove has important significance for the transportation and storage of melon. With the increasing types of genetic linkage map construction methods, rapid development of molecular marker technology,CAPS molecular markers have been widely used in the fine mapping research of melon genetics and breeding and related genes with important characters, which has accelerated the process of muskmelon breeding. This research mentioned that, the melon line M4-5 with no fruit surface groove was used as female parent, and the melon line M1-15 with fruit surface groove on the fruit surface was used as the male parent to construct the F2 population.A chromosome of melon which the targeted gene in was screened by BSA method.Based on the genome resequencing data of the parents material,CAPS markers were developed on the chromosome and a molecular genetic map was constructed. The trait was analyzed and two genes closely linked to the trait were obtained. At the site,a marker for the control of the facial sulcus of muskmelon fruit was obtained. The main findings are as follows:Field investigation and genetic analysis showed that the phenotype of F2 population was3:1 in the ratio of fruit surface ditch to non-fruit surface ditch, which proved that the melon melon groove trait was dominantly inherited and was controlled by a pair of genes.According to the correlation analysis of fruit traits, the fruit mulch trait was negatively correlated with cracking fruit.By using the bulk segregant analysis?BSA?,20 non-fruiting surface groove population and20 surface groove population from the F2 population were randomly selected. And then mix their DNA to construct two genetic pools.A marker with a distance of 3.6 cM was initially mapped on the chromosome 11.Through more precise experiments,a marker with a distance of1.1 cM was obtained. Those two sites are M1-01 and M1-51.Using 100 melon natural populations materials, the markers M11-01 and M11-51,which are closely linked to the fruit surface groove, were effectively analyzed. The anastomosis rates of molecular data and field data were 74.67%and 75.99%...
