Because of blue fox fresh feed have high content of protein,fat and moisture,the protein and fat especially easy to oxidate and putrefy,which will generate the mildew and putrefaction,reduce the quality of fresh feed.And also it produces mycotoxin that causes animal digestive diseases such as diarrhea and enteritis,even arouses a large number of deaths,severely restricting the development of the blue fox breeding industry.This study was divided into two parts.The first part adopted orthogonal experimental design to single out the optimal combination of the compound acidifier.4 acidifier(lactic acid,phosphoric acid,fumaric acid and citric acid)respectively selected 3 different level,and base on the orthogonal experimental proportion to matched 9 compound acidifier.Group lwas control group,which is the basal blue fox fresh feed.And group 2-10 were basal blue fox fresh feed treatment with 0.5%compound acidifier.Those group severally measured pH,acid-binding capacity,total volatile basic nitrogen(TVBN),acid value(AV),peroxide value(POV)and the count of bacterial colonies.The result of measurements indicated:compound acidifier can reduced the pH and acid-binding capacity of fresh feed,and group 9 had the best comprehensive effect.The growth of TVBN decreased,which revealed the compound acidifier can effectively maintain the freshness of fresh feed,and the best effect was group 2.In the result of AV,the AV value of experimental groups were higher than the control group at beginning of the experiment,and the values of group 3,5 and 10 were obviously high.During the experiment period,the increase of control group was the most,but the trend of group 5 was negative,and group 10 was basically unchanged.Those sequence may because of the hydrogen ions that were produced by compound acidifiers react with alkaline reagents in the experiment.At the beginning of the experiment,the POV value of group 8 was higher than others,and showing in negative trend.The group 3 and 10 were significantly higher at the end of experiment,and the trend of growths were higher than others during the experiment period.It may be those compound acidifiers cause the acidity of fresh feed to increase,which result in the measurements are not accurate.In the count of bacterial colonies by plate count method,the growth rate of all group at 0-2.5h were faster than other period,and control group was most.During 2.5h and 5h period,the number of bacterial colonies in control group was highest.Hence,the addition of compound acidifier in fresh feed can effectively maintain feed freshness and restrain mildew growth and reproduction.According to the orthogonal experimental data,the optimal level of the compound acidifier was 15%of lactic acid,5%of phosphoric acid,15%of fumaric acid and 5%of citric acid.The second part was feeding experiment.60 blue foxes were randomly divided into two groups,group ?I was the control group.Group ? was the experimental group,which fed the basal blue fox fresh feed with 0.5%of the compound acidifier optimal combination.The consequence of the feed intake exhibited that group ? compared with group ? was validly increased by 0.8%(P<0.05),and the feed conversion rate decreased by 3.7%.The optimal combination of compound acidifier meaningfully reduced the diarrhea index and rate of blue fox.And also the diarrhea rate in group ? displayed a decrease trend,while the group ?was mainly invariable.The difference of initial weight between the two groups was not prominent(P>0.05).The final weight of the group ? increased by 48.4%,however the group ?increased by 46.1%,the conspicuous difference exist in those two groups(P<0.05).In the result of average daily gain(ADG),the group ? increased by 2.31%and the group II increased by 2.42%.The group ? memorably increased by 5.35g compared with the group ?(P<0.01).Therefore,this study filtered the compound acidifier optimal combination can improve the palatability of fresh feed,blue fox feed intake,final weight,average daily gain,feed utilization rate,accelerate intestinal health,and also reduce the diarrhea index and rate.
