With the large number of rural laborers moving to cities, the trend of feminization of the rural labor is very clear.According to the statistics of the All-China Women's Federation in 2015,rural women more than 400 million, accounting for more than 60% of the country's agricultural labor, and have become an important for rural economic and social development. The feminization of the workforce and its impact on agricultural production are issues of great concern to the academic community. However, there have been no consistent conclusions in the existing studies. This article takes the first survey of forest farms in collective forest areas in Zhejiang Province as a target for the reform of a new round of collective forest tenure system, and based on field survey data of 240 farmers in 24 villages in 4 counties(cities),participates in forestry for female labor in collective forest areas. On the basis of a brief analysis of the basic conditions of labor, econometric methods were used to investigate the influencing factors of women's participation in forestry work in collective forest areas.Taking bamboo production and management as an example,a DEA-Tobit two-stage model was used to analyze forestry. The impact of feminization of labor on forestry production efficiency, and put forward corresponding policy recommendations.Research indicates:(1)Women in collective forest areas are more common in forestry production. In the sample area, the average female and female labor participating in the forestry work was 27.49 workdays one yearand 12.56 workdaysone year, respectively. The female labor participation in the forestry production time accounted for about 40% and 25% respectively of the family forestry production time and the bamboo forest production time.(2)Women's labor participation in forestry labor is affected by many factors.Specifically, there is a nonlinear relationship between the age of female laborers and whether they participate in forestry labor. In other words, women's participation in forestry labor is more likely to increase with age within a certain age range, but beyond a certain age(53 years),The time for participation in forestry labor began to decline. The level of education has a negative impact on women's participation in forestry labor;physical health has a positive effect on women's participation in forestry labor. In addition, the number of people in need of care at home, the area of family-run forest land, and regional differences also have a significant impact on women's labor force participation in forestry labor.(3)Female labor participation has no negative impact on forestry production efficiency. As far as the operation of bamboo forests is concerned,as women's participation in the management of bamboo forests has increased, the production efficiency has not decreased. On the contrary, the production efficiency of bamboo forests can be further increased within a certain range. At the same time, the distance from the forest to the home, the average education level of the family labor force, and regional differences also significantly affect the production efficiency of bamboo forests.Based on the above conclusions, this paper proposes the following suggestions on how to increase the enthusiasm of women laborers to participate in forestry labor and effectively improve forestry production efficiency.(1)Vigorously develop the non-wood forest products industry including bamboo forests(such as hickory,toon,etc.).The non-wood forest products industry has the characteristics of both economic and ecological benefits.Developing the non-wood forest products industry will not only attract female labor forces to participate in forestry labor, but also increase the efficiency of forestry production and promote economic income. The realization of green mountains is the goal of Jinshan Yinshan.(2)Strengthen technical training for women laborers and upgrade the quality of women laborers. At present, the phenomenon of feminization of the rural labor force is increasingly evident. It is necessary to improve the quality of the labor force in rural areas through technical training and improve the advantages of the female labor force in the process of forestry production and management.(3)It is necessary to further strengthen and improve the construction of infrastructure such as forest roads, effectively reduce the labor force of women in rural areas and the labor force in old age, participate in the threshold of forestry production and operation, and reduce the labor costs of forestry production and operation. In addition,we must also strengthen the construction of forest information, based on the Internet technology, and vigorously develop forest products e-commerce,improve the efficiency of the forest industry.
