This experiment was carried out with the material of flowering Chinese cabbage(60-day flowering Chinese cabbage).Five treatments including three different levels of peanut bran(30 kg/667 m~2,40 kg/667 m~2,50 kg/667 m~2),compound fertilizer(N:P:K=17:5:12)30 kg/667 m~2 and no fertilization(control treatment)were applied to study the effect of peanut bran fertilizer on the yield and quality of flowering Chinese cabbage and soil physicial and chemical properties.The experiment was conducted on July 17 th,2017 with the way of plug seedings.The seedings were transplanted when they grew to 3 to 4 leaves and before that,80%amount of fertilizer of different treatments was used as basic fertilizer and the rest of20%was applied on the 5 th and 10 th days after transplanting,10%respectively each time.The results were as follows:1.Compared with the treatments of compound fertilizer and no fertilizer,peanut bran treatment significantly promoted the development of leaves and flower stalk,and thus increased shoot biomass.When the amount of peanut bran reached a certain level,the effect of peanut bran treatment on plant growth was significantly better than that of compound fertilizer treatment.Among all the treatments,the amount of peanut bran reaching 40 kg/667m~2~50 kg/667 m~2 had a better effect on plant growth.2.The application of peanut bran improved the quality of flowering Chinese cabbage,nutritional value and its safety quality.Compared with the treatments of compound fertilizer and no fertilizer,applying suitable amount of peanut bran can significantly increase the contents of vitamin C as well as soluble protein and decrease the contents of nitrate.In addition to reducing the nitrate content,the treatment of compound fertilizer showed no significant effects on the contents of vitamin C and soluble protein compared with no fertilizer treatment.Applying peanut bran can also significantly promote the accumulation of soluble sugar in the plants and the contents of reducing sugar and fructose in the flower stalk.The effect of promotion was more obvious with the increasing application amount of peanut bran,however,peanut bran treatment had little effect on the content of reducing sugar in leaves.With the increase of the amount of peanut bran,the sucrose content of flowering Chinese cabbage kept rising.Compared with the treatments of compound fertilizer and no fertilizer,the treatment of peanut bran can significantly increase the content of sucrose in the plants.3.The treatment of peanut bran had a certain effect on the activities of neutral invertase,acid invertase,sucrose synthase and sucrose phosphate synthase in flowering Chinese cabbage.The application of suitable peanut bran can significantly increased the activities of neutral invertase,acid invertase and sucrose synthase,but it had little effect on the activity of sucrose phosphate synthetase in leaves.As for compound fertilizer treatment,it had little effect on the activities of glycolytic enzymes in flowering Chinese cabbage.4.The number of bacteria and actinomycetes in soil increased with the increase of peanut bran application,but it did not change significantly when peanut bran application reached a certain level,while the number of fungi increased first and then decreased.Compared with the control treatment,the number of actinomycetes in soil was significantly lower and no significant difference has been found on the number of bacteria and fungi under the treatment of compound fertilizer.Except for soil urease,the activities of acid phosphatase and invertase under the treatment of peanut bran were higher than that of compound fertilizer treatment and no fertilizer treatment.Applying compound fertilizer significantly inhibited the activity of urease while no significant difference has been found on the activities of acid phosphatase and invertase compared with the control treatment.Among all treatments,the treatment applying 40 kg/667 m~2 peanut bran had the best effect on increasing the number of microorganism and promoting soil enzyme activity.5.The contents of soil organic,soil total nitrogen,total phosphor and total potassium have been significantly increased under the treatment of peanut bran and compound fertilizer.When the amount of peanut bran reached a certain level,the content of soli organic was significantly higher than that of compound fertilizer treatment,but there was no difference on the contents of total nitrogen,total phosphorus and total potassium in soil.As for the contents of effective boron and effective phosphorus,no significant difference was found among all treatments,but applying suitable amount of peanut bran remarkably increased the content of effective potassium.With the increase of peanut bran application,the pH of soil gradually decreased,and the pH of each fertilizer treatment was significantly lower than that of the control treatment.In all treatments,the highest pH was found in the soil treated with compound fertilizer.
