| China is a major aquaculture producer in the world. In 2016,China’s aquaculture production was 51.56 million tons, accounting for about two-thirds of the world’s total production. With the continuous adjustment of the structure of fishery industry, aquaculture in many parts of China has embarked on the process of industrial agglomeration. For example, there are obvious characteristics of aquaculture in Dalian,Liaoning Rongcheng,Fujian Lianjiang and other areas.Industrial clusters are an important form of aquaculture development. As an ever-evolving living organism, although it promotes regional economic progress,it cannot guarantee sustainable development. Therefore, the lack of attention to the issue of sustainable development of aquaculture industrial clusters will lead to serious economic downturns in the industries or regions.Pay attention to the sustainable development of aquaculture industrial clusters, construct an indicator system for sustainable development of aquaculture industry clusters, and analyze the most important factors affecting the sustainable development of clusters, and make targeted recommendations will have important theoretical value and practical significance. This is a realistic option for ensuring the sustainable development of regional aquaculture industry clusters and enhancing the competitiveness of aquaculture industry clusters. This article takes the aquaculture industrial cluster as the research object, first sorts out the research results of domestic and foreign scholars, including: the formation and classification of industrial clusters, the causes of the industrial cluster life cycle, the risk and performance of the industrial cluster life cycle, the causes of decline in industrial clusters, the development patterns of industrial clusters, the evolution of industrial cluster development patterns, the index system of sustainable development of industrial clusters, factors influencing the sustainable development of industrial clusters, the countermeasures of sustainable development of industrial clusters.Through the analysis of the literature,we find that scholars mainly focus on qualitative research in industrial clusters. In the quantitative study of sustainable development of industrial clusters, the research on agricultural industrial clusters and resource-based industrial clusters is relatively mature, but currently the sustainable research on aquaculture clusters still lacks a comprehensive and systematic index system. In order to make up for the inadequacies of existing research, this paper conducts a quantitative study on the sustainable development of aquaculture industrial clusters. In this article, the author first studied the definition, characteristics, types and geographical distribution of aquaculture industrial clusters.Second,it elaborates the main theoretical basis of this article, such as industrial cluster theory, life cycle theory, sustainable development theory and so on.Then, referring to Tichy G’s four-stage life cycle theory, the four life cycle stages of the aquaculture industrial cluster are divided.Combined with the dynamic formation process of aquaculture industrial clusters, the main characteristics of the cluster in each life stage are described in detail.Based on field interviews with Fujian Lianjiang County and Liaoning Zhuanghe Ocean Community,we summarized the development status and existing problems of Fujian abalone and algae breeding industry cluster and Liaoning Zhuanghe shellfish breeding industry cluster, and finally defined the Aquaculture industry clusters are in a period of growth. Then,it analyzes the development patterns and causes of aquaculture industrial clusters, builds cluster evolution model, and summarizes the evolution rules of clusters from horizontal agglomeration to longitudinal agglomeration to collaborative innovation agglomeration, indicating that the cluster’s development is a low-to-high evolution process.Secondly, referring to the research method of sustainable development of China’s resource-based industrial clusters,we analyze the factors influencing the sustainable development of aquaculture industrial clusters, and construct a four-in-one aquaculture industry of “economy-society-resources-environment” from the perspective of systems theory. The Cluster Sustainable Development Index System uses tomographic analysis to calculate the most important influencing factors in the sustainable development of aquaculture industry clusters, and proposes to vigorously develop circulating water and factory aquaculture, continuously expand the aquaculture industry chain, enhance technological innovation capabilities, and strengthen enterprises’ institutional development to promote the sustainable development of aquaculture industrial clusters. Finally, summarizing the main research conclusions of this paper, pointing out the insufficiency of the research in this paper, proposing opinions on the related research in the future and expressing the outlook. |
