As people paid much attention to the safety of animal by-products.Feed safety is also getting more and more attention.Sophora alopecuroides L.is a kind of traditional Chinese herbal medicine. It has been shown to have anti-tumor,anti-inflammation,antibacterial,anti-viral,and anti-endotoxin functions. These functions of Sophora alopecuroides L.make it a potential source of animal feed additive. In present studies,we focused on the effect of Sophora alopecuroides L.as feed additive on rumen fermentation, microflora, productivity and Blood physiological-biochemical indicators of lamb.In the first experiment:In vitro experiment were conducted to study the effect of different with good condition and average weight[?45.5±1.52?kg]were provide rumen fluid. The adding doses of Sophora alopecuroides L.were 0.05%,0.2%,0.1%,0.2%and 0.4%.The forage-to-concentrate ratios of the substrate were 3:7,and 7:3.Rumen fluid fermentation was tested Rumen microorganisms,Rumen fermentation internal environment and Emzyme activity. The results were as follow:?1?0.2%of Sophora alopecuroides L.significantly?P<0.05?increases the cumulative gas production and significantly?P<0.05?reduce NH3-N concentration from 3h to 12h in low concentrate broth.0.05%and 0.1%of Sophora alopecuroides L.changed the fermentation pattern, significantly reduced acetic acid concentration and acetic to propionic acid ratio?P<0.05?.0.1%of Sophora alopecuroides L.significantly reduced the concentration of TVFA?P<0.05?and maintained the steady state of the fermentation system.0.2%and 0.4%of Sophora alopecuroides L.prevented the rapid pH drop in both low concentrate and high concentrate?P<0.05?broth.The dry matter degradation rate in the broth were not significantly influenced by the level of Sophora alopecuroides L.addition?P>0.05?.?2?In the low concentrate broth,0.05%,0.1%and 0.2%of Sophora alopecuroides L.significantly?P<0.05?increased filter paper enzyme activity, and decreased amylase activity. In the high concentrate broth,0.1%,0.2%and 0.4%of Sophora alopecuroides L.significantly?P<0.05?decreased xylanase activity and decreased amylase activity.?3?0.1%of Sophora alopecuroides L significantly?P<0.05?increased the number of R-albus and Butyrivibrio fibrisolvens in high concentrate broth.Low concentrate broth with 0%,0.05%,0.2%and 0.4%of Sophora alopecuroides L.had significantly?P<0.05?higher number of R-albus and Butyrivibrio fibrisolvens compared with high concentrate broth. In the second experiment,in vivo experiment were carried out to study the effect of 0.2%of Sophora alopecuroides L.on productivity and immunity of fattening lamb.Twenty-four Mongolian sheep with good condition and similar body weight[?28.91±1.81?kg]were randomly allotted to four groups with six sheep per group.Sheep in control group???were fed a basal diet, and?group,?group,?group were fed the basal diet supplemented with 0.1%yeast mannan oligosaccharides?the supplemental level was on concentrated, the same as blow?,0.015%rumensin and 0.2%Sophora alopecuroides L.respectively.The duration of the experiment was 70 days?the pre-test period was 10 days and the test period was 60 days?.On the 1st and 30th day dietary forage-to-concentrated ratios was 4:6,while on the 31st to 60th day,it was gradually turned into 7:3.On the 0st,30th and 60th day of test period, empty stomach body weight was tested and serum was collected for physiological-biochemical indicators. Our result were as follow:?1?0.2%of Sophora alopecuroides L.significantly?P<0.05?increased growth performance of Mongolian sheep fed 7:3 forage-to-concentrate diet. The effect of Sophora alopecuroides L.were as good as Yeast manna oligosaccharide and Rumensin.?2?0.2%of Sophora alopecuroides L.improved?P<0.05?the immunity and inflammation responses of fattening lamb.Serum antioxidant capacity were similar among lambs fed 0.2%of Sophora alopecuroides L.,yeast manna oligosaccharide, and Rumensin group. However, under high concentration diet?7:3 ratio?,the antioxidant capacity of 0.2%Sophora alopecuroides L.was stronger than that of yeast manna oligosaccharide and rumensin group.
